Again Brian you and Domany make a hit. You might add the port and starboard red and green lights. But so far looks super. You Might add the helium vent pipe to the second stage and have it vent after meco. It really looks super.

Might be time to do an updated ISS. 2016 could use it.
Super job !!!

Hey folks, thanks for the kind words.
This is kind of an initial "beta" version.

Still quite a few things to work on or think about - electrical/life support systems simulation; better interior meshes; proper windows; etc.

Hi Barry, glad you like it. Where do the port/starboard lights go?

Cheers,
Brian

The ISS A-Z pretty much works for Orbiter 2016. Although, some of the parts that use a .dll, which were coded by others, you can't use interior view, or it crashes. Unfortunately, people have moved on so they can't be upgraded. :embarrassed:

Would love to see some new real cockpit shots from SpaceX. (hint Barry) ;)

FWIW, I released a scenario package a few weeks ago that brings the ISS pretty close to its current config as of July, 2018.

IDA

To Brian J.

Would you be able to make the crewed dragon dock with IDA. Right now it can"t. Great job by you and Donamy.

I came back from vacation today, watched NASA's announcement on the commercial crew program and found the crewed Dragon has just been released. Wow! Both the visuals and the implemented features are amazing! Thank you, Brian and Donamy!

Just one small wish: I am not used to flying 'blind' from inside the cockpit. Would there be a chance either to
- have the viewpoint of the glass cockpit in front of the vessel, to look around, or
- do not render the cockpit mesh in glass cockpit view, or
- add to the [N] toggle views a viewpoint just outside the capsule?

Hi,

Do you have a specific add-on in mind? (link if possible please).

Of course :) Any preference between any of those three options?

So, quite a few updates to make: add a plethora of acquisition lights(might need a button for them too), change main chute deployment (jettison bottom storage cover, change chute attachment point for heads up splashdown), external viewpoint for glass cockpit mode, transparent external windows(requires changing all mesh loading order, aargh) , alternate docking configuration for "IDA"(?), rotate Dragon 90deg on Falcon9 for crew access from Service Tower on LC-39A(?)

Plenty to keep me going, then...

Cheers,
BrianJ

Right, think I'm with you :)

If it is this one(thanks pappy2!), then it should work ok. I just gave it a try with IDA docked to my regular ISS and the Crew Dragon. IDA docking port is not the same rotation as the ISS docking port though, so Dragon must be rotated accordingly.

Cheers,
BrianJ

No, the IDA's docking port for Dragon needs to be changed in the vessels folder. Not the Dragon's docking rotation. I believe the IDA was originally used for docking the Soyuz, by the author.

On the view outside:
Of course :) Any preference between any of those three options?

Thanks for considering this!

Hmm, good question.
For the ease of implementation, I'd simple render the meshes only in external and VC cockpit mode, leaving the glass cockpit view clear of meshes.
Code:
SetMeshVisibilityMode (AddMesh (your_Mesh, &your_ofs), MESHVIS_EXTERNAL | MESHVIS_VC);
This is simple and the user can easily switch back and forth with the [F8] key.

In addition an extra viewpoint for the [N] toggle would be cool, e.g. a 'docking port cam' looking forward, or located sideways just outside the hatch to look around.

Hello Brian and Donamy,

Thank you for your super Addon, here are some pictures of the landing of the capsule !!

But concerning the recovery of the DRAGON crew, do not you think that it is rather the US NAVY with a special boat and helicopters, as for Apollo?
