Scenario used is the Atlantis cockpit scenario.

And for the RCS bug: Once quick move to the RMS station position is all it takes to kill RCS control in all other views.

---------- Post added at 11:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:36 PM ----------

False alarm on the RCS bug. Turns out it was because the GPCs was loaded with OPS1 instead of OPS2. Fixed it in the scenario file and the RCS is back again.

Looking at the scenario saved, the CTD seems to occur while saving the A7/A8 panel data. This code hasn't been changed in a while, so I'm not sure why its causing errors now.

I don't get any run time errors.

DaveS: I've checked in some debugging code; post the scenario after it CTDs.

Does the the line "Switch [switch name] : exception thrown" appear in the scenario after you save it?

Nope. Clean saves every time now. No CTDs.

Man these things are fickle.:compbash2:

Any news on the mission files? Does the ascent AP use the mission files yet? I tried to launch the STS-125 mission yesterday using the new mission files but no joy in second stage ascent. The AP behaved just like the AP ascent data was missing.

Did not connect them yet to the AP, or something else. It was so far just about reading the files and the interface to the vessels.

Wanted to have the payload bay configuration as first information used.

I've been working on the RMS IK, specifically on maintaining a constant roll angle.

working on STS-127 payloads

Have not worked at all on SSU lately. I hope the long weekend here in Germany allows a few hours of undisturbed development.

I've been working on the RMS IK, specifically on maintaining a constant roll angle.
Once you're done with that, could you maybe focus on implementing the auto modes?

Adding auto sequences would require quite a bit of work on the CRT displays (for manual sequences) and the mission definition files (for automatic sequences). I'd prefer to wait until we release V1.25 to work on this.

SC,

Would it be possible to deactivate the RCS while in the PLBY camera views, except the ODS cam ? It is sometimes difficult to see the RMS from just the window view and using the cameras is more realistic, IMHO.

I could do that; another option I've been thinking of is to use a keypress to toggle between controlling the RCS and the RMS, instead of basing it on the VC position.

---------- Post added at 01:42 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:54 AM ----------

I've added control of the wrist roll joint to the IK algorithm; this means that the EE will maintain a constant roll angle during translation/rotation.

Very impressive RMS movement SC !! I could pick someones pocket with it now. You are right about the RCS-RMS toggle is needed.

I also noticed that single joints are selectable and they move when you hold the direct drive switch.

I have suffered a serious setback today. Windows refused to boot up so I was forced to revert back to the factory image. Which means that I have lost everything related to SSU, especially the new LC-39 elements.

I don't know if it will be restarted(again!). Right now I don't feel like totally recreating three very complex elements(hardstand and general scenery, FSS, MLP and RSS)
