Request Long March rockets

I wanna have Long March rockets to simulate Chinese missions, including the secret Chongfu Shiyong Shiyan Hangtian Qi (choong-foo-shee-yoong-shee-yen-hang-tien-chee).

Long March 2F already provided by Donamy's Tiangong 1 and Shenzhou 9, and majortom's China Manned Space Program 1.5

For the mystery Reusable Experimental Spacecraft just launched and landed recently by China, in my opinion it functions like an X-37B....for a meantime you could put that spacecraft on top of the LM-2F until further information about it is released

Thank you! I will fire this add-on in Orbiter 2010 with X-37B. I shall repaint the vehicle with Chinese flag to reconstruct the supposed Chongfu vessel.

Thanks, that's a start.

Now for someone that wants to get into add-on making, a rocket is really a good choice, because most of it is symmetrical and the shapes are mostly cylinders. Don't be scared by Blender, once you've made the effort to get into it the virtual world is yours !

And if anyone has stuff like up-to-scale infographics, blueprints etc... let's post that here, always easier to start when you have a lot of reference materials.

I'm not sure that buying things in order to publish free addons for a free simulator is really a viable option. I'd do it if I could, but currently my "todo" list is full. I'd say the Energia 5V launcher I'm also working on (and which is supposed to be my main project) is much more complex than Long March 5. Its a great project for someone who wants to have a try at 3D modeling.

That one gives the configuration of the main engines. The launcher is the CZ-524 (man that CZ-934 is quite a big one lol)...

CZ-934 (Long March 9) is the Chinese version of the Saturn V....I prefer to call it the Taiyang Shen (the fictional Chinese booster that resupplied Hermes in "The Martian")

Here's the model converted to FBX. Also a save with Blender's latest version.
The textures are on the psd file!

It needs to be split in order to have the different stages.
But I think it's good start if someone wants to model a bit.

Interesting, but a bit inaccurate and a bit low-poly. The engines configuration is not the one used on Tianwen mission (not sure if it is an error, a simplification or another design...). Also the shape of the boosters nosecones is not right (Long March has those "slanted" Ariane-5 like nosecones).

All right... I'll do it... I couldn't resist anyways.

The way I see it, and using dimensions found on Wikipedia (lenght and diameter of the various stages), the silhouette should look like that (only 2 boosters on this draft for easy-symmetric building purpose) :



The most challenging part will be the upper stage. I wish I had a precise cutaway to have all the proportions right.
