Chat meeting opens tomorrow night at midnight UTC/20:00 EDT. When we land:
1) I will deploy the crew lift and rover lift, release the cargo, then step on to the surface and say something cool and historic
2) The scenario will be passed to Felipi, who will take RickD and myself out to start building the habitat section. NOTE: On the first day we will build the habitat section ONLY. The rest will not be added until the second day.
3) Felipi, as soon as the habitat section is built, get the entire team inside quickly. There's no real danger, but I just don't want to waste any time (or air:shifty
Three months ago, I had a crazy idea. It was just something I wanted to do for myself. But it unexpectedly caught on. People started following it, and four other great Orbinauts decided to join me. Today, me and those four awesome people are orbiting the closest planet to the Sun.
While we're not out of the woods yet, I am amazed at what a great job Lydia, RickD, Felipi1205, and Mojoey have done. I am also very grateful for the help of Pipcard and Chrothor, and the senior Orbinauts who dispensed advice to us.
Tomorrow, after fourteen long weeks, we will set down on the Iron Planet. This is a huge occasion. An enormous amount of commitment and effort has gone into making the Iron Hill Project the smashing success it has become. Thanks so much to everyone, and keep up the good work:thumbup:
