Resolution - often yes, but WW have consistency that GE lacks - GE maps are square patchwork, WW maps is a continuous image, and second is better for planet rendering, as i think.

I agree, WW is much more suited for orbiter because of consistency at higher altitudes.


Some time ago I asked to Tileproxy's author about missing WW support. However, he was of opposite opinion (that WW looks bad), and after all maybe he's right speaking of low altitude flight in FS.

Perhaps he might be persuaded to change his mind and join the "Dark (sky) Side" after a couple of beers
