I'm designing yet new mission scenarios with some objects to collect.
The mini tour mercury / venus
The medium tour
The big tour

etc. etc.

At each moon or planet you must either land or stay in orbit but almost always collect or place one object : xpdr or sat.

This is a new cargo, a mini (and inert) MTKS sat, 1.3x1.3 m that you can pack/unpack.

I'll also integrate [ame=http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4488]Inflatable Space Rescue Unit[/ame] and the [ame=http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4457]UCGO ISS[/ame] cargos: trash and food. Having those two cargos in default installation will allow addons to make use of them. (If none mine might at least)

Once done, I'll add the new item/sdk to the doc and then it will be the beta.

Just to clarify, these new MTKS sats will only LOOK like the DG-IV sats, right? They won't automatically rotate to face the planet? And they won't have the ability to be interfaced with like the original?

One good idea would be unpacked cargo with extension and "L" adapter for dock. This might give good mission ? (Don't know if it would be easy to dock such extension with an Ummu without the dock MFD)

It doesn't do much for the immersion, but with the old DGIV cargos I just used an ExtMFD stickied to the cargo and set to DockMFD, that way I could use it while operating the UMMU.

While testing the new mission scenarios with IMFD and AB I was thinking that it would be very cool to have a button "fasten seat belt" with some nice voices announcements

"Attention attention, we'll start manoeuvring, fasten your seat belt, make sure all doors are locked and secure..."

Then some sound effect like belt click, door closing and such. That can add a lot to the countdown pre-burn or other operations.

It would be nice to have 5-6 different announces (same text or slightly different, maybe two three different voices ) So if by any chance your wife or friend or yourself have a nice "pilot" or "attendant" voice with a clear English please let me know I'll tell you how to record and send me the voice.

Different accents might add to the realism, though. I never heard any announcement in any plane in accent-free english (well, I never flew with an english/american plane, after all). :lol:

But I like accents. We have now so many countrys in space it's silly to think all speak perfect english up there. Check out Nasa Live where you hear so many accents. That's why today, in reallife, we have no audio messages in case of emergencys because some people who are not english native would react too slow to the message in english compared to the one in their native language. I belive that a message of that kind should be visual only (and a perfect english speaking voice would not add to the imerssion, in the contrary). As an alternative, a repeating 3 languages very short message would be better.

well let's make it funny, then, Indian English, Javanese English (I can emulate this one), Japanese English, Chinese English (have a lot of friends whose pronunciation is illegible because they speak Chinese so fluently) and have a lot of laughs in space :lol: (yes I do this because my accent is funny as well, look at above)

A related question: when you dock your DG to the ISS, you sometimes hear a 'GL-01, we comfirm docking, welcome aboard' message (depends on your ship's name, I think?) Is that your voice? Because it's an awesome accent, it feels very 'space-y' to me for some reason.

If it indeed is your voice, then I suggest you record the new voices yourself.

It can't be funny because you'll laugh and laugh and miss the burn moment . And Asian languages are not the only exotic ones on this planet. This brings a question: who would use Arrow ships? Countries? Corporations? If ESA and NASA (and maybe some pirates) are the owners, than maybe it should at least have one system/place with some multinational things. Maybe when Dan will build the bar we'll get drinks from a black UMMU who speaks chinese. What I like in Dan's addons are the little details that give so much immersion to the game that tends to make you forget you are in one.

Dan, regarding how does the crew eva managment works, will we be able to select between Dock1,2,3 and Lift using the "Select active dock/exit"?

Dan already aswered on his forums:

A nice thing is that for EVA you can now use five selectable options/outputs via the buttons of VC: Crew Lift, EVA 01, DOCK 1, DOCK 2, DOCK 3.
