Hey guys becuase M6 is down i havnt been hearing the devlopment of AMSO is going to if you have gotten in touch with ACsoft and if you could tell me how the devlopment is going.
Thanks.
Ryan

I'll let you know once I hear something.

With M6 down, possibly for good, I may be able to finally talk Alain into joining this forum.

Ha Ha i think he bothered to join that meadville space center forum, but i think the only reason for that is NASSP and AMSO is talking about merging or something. Thank you i will really appricate it if you tell me if hes still doing AMSO.
Thanks.
Ryan.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm a member of Meadville too, though not very active.

I dont know why it isnt active, it should be, its like the home of NASSP it should be more active then it is.

Ryan, re-read my last post.

Meadville is plenty active.

I said I wasn't active on the Meadville forum.:sorry:

In fact, one of my first posts over there was a question of the difference between NASSP and AMSO.

I was also wondering why doesnt AMSO have some sort of forum. Like all the big add-ons have some sort of forum but AMSO doesnt whats up with that?
Thanks.
Ryan.

I remember the last thing i read on M6 that ACsoft is doing an unfolding lunar rover but because LazyD is well unavilble he need someone to do the math for him.

Check the add-on threads in this forum. AMSO v1.17 has been released.

It will be interesting to see how various Orbiter fourms evolve. The collapse of M6 has opened up a particular nitche in the Orbiter-chat environment. But I doubt that any of the one-addon forums will fill it. What's needed is a reliable general use forum where you can learn about everthing happening in Orbiter. I think this is the place.

But now something really important --
Ryan, your avatar is is a hoot! Shuttle meets Titanic! Space Age meets the Edwardian Era! There is an off-topic thread looking for the best avatar. Most of the comments (like mine) are meant to be funny self-inflations. Your avatar could actually "win!"

Really thanks i like looking for mad space pictures and this is on of my favorites and some forums only have a limited size avatars but this one doesnt so i put this one up.
Thanks.

AFAIK, AMSO is continuing to be developed. ACSoft and I corresponded on the lunar rover animation math and, last I knew, that particular problem was solved. From past experience, whatever comes out in the next version will be worth the wait. For now, there is more than enough in v1.17 to keep me going :)

Sort of Off-Topic, but where does ACsoft get the audio? I've been Googling all over and I can not find downloads for any NASA audio... Does anyone have any ideas?

I would look for the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal... i think they had audio there, not only the full transcripts of some missions. If you ever wanted to count, how often Pete Conrad swore during Apollo 12, there you can find the raw data.

Because I don't promote as a general orbiter board. It's main purpose is for developers of Orbiter Add-on Projects (primarily open source) to have a place for a forum. Some of the projects, like NASSP, have really taken off, others are at different levels of activity's.

If the demand is there I will be glad to add more forums other than then the one orbiter forum I have. However I think the community would benefit more from having a centralized forum for general discussion ... like this one.

wouldnt they get some of the audio clips from the original NASA archieves. I havnt seen the archives on the net but i know its somewhere around on here, well what am i saying everythings on the net, even these crazy guys who player orbiter and talk to eachother on orbiter forum which is controlled by a guy called tex:lol:
Thanks.
Ryan.
