Whats up with AMSO

Yeah i asked ACsoft to take special care with apollo 12, not just because its my favorite apollo mission but to honor the memory of Pete Conrad who was the Commander of Apollo 12 and said the almost more famous words then Niel Armstrong ''whoopee, man that may of been a small one for Neil, but it's a long one for me!'' as he stepped off the leg of the LM.

In so far as I'm aware, 1.17 does NOT support EVA audio (the astronauts are individual vessels, but I don't believe Alain has coded the sound engine for them to accomodate audio yet).

It's my understanding that this feature will be implemented in a future release.

If anyone knows differently, I'd be pleased to find out I was mistaken though...

BTW: Again, as far as I uderstand Alain, there are NO plans for AMSO to address Apollo 7 at ANYTIME. It would require all new meshes, textures & coding for the Saturn IB ad LC34. Not worth the effort for one mission (frankly, as much as I'd like to see Apollo 7 eventually, I have to agree with Alain on this point).

Does anyone know if ACsoft is going to do all the scenarios for all the apollo missions, for now it's only Apollo 11, Apollo 13 and Apollo 17.

I know he uses my Apollo 15 scenario pack to test his AMSO releases, so I'm guessing at this point that he won't be doing Apollo 15.

I'm currently working on another Apollo mission now...

Knowing the painstaking detail and accuracy of your Apollo 15 scenarios, this will be a "MUST HAVE" for anyone who flies AMSO ;).

Sort of Off-Topic, but where does ACsoft get the audio? I've been Googling all over and I can not find downloads for any NASA audio... Does anyone have any ideas?

I sent him some audio clips I obtained from NASA and other sources. Probably he got the rest himself.

I'll see if I can convince Alain Capt to join this forum, since it appears that M6 is having serious problems and may not return for some time. Since there is a large interest in AMSO, he may consider membership to offer support.

well, that leaves 12, 14, and 16, since 11, 13, 15, and 17 are taken care of.
Thats funny how all the odd moon missions have scenarios (Apollo 9 was an Earth mission, so that doesn't count)

You left out 8 and 10. I currently not working on either one of those.

I choose 15 because it was the first mission I was able to watch all the way through on TV - it was during summer break. Plus, Irwin (as an alumnus) spoke at my high school 5-6 years after the flight.

well, i was assuming missions to the moon where you'd actually land on them, but those work too.

8's probably the most easiest to do, as there was no landing phase or plane change. The Earthrise is a beauty when you see it in Orbiter. Well, can't wait to see what you have cooking for us all with you next addon.

So hows AMSO coming, i havnt seen ACsoft on here for a long time, or is he on vacation. I think i kind of say this for everyone on the orbiter-forum I'll say it simpley '' WE CANT WAIT'', no big rush though, take your time.

What are you thinking ? I am sure there are more possibilities than just being on vacation or developping AMSO. How about just being busy in real life work ?

You should not expect people to have a real life or understand how a real life looks like. A Second Life is difficult enough.
