Which version is for 2010? I thought -13 was. But in the -13 zip the docs says it is version 14 for 2016?

I think version 12 was compiled for Orbiter 2016, and all versions after that.

If you download the current version 14 from the front page it should run stable with Orbiter 2016.

The old version 11 should still run with Orbiter 2010. I attached it here.
Unfortunately I cannot test it myself, as I removed my Orbiter 2010 installation some time ago. I encourage switching to Orbiter 2016.

Awesome! I've just been doing a little "beta-testing" of gattispilot's SLS and Orion set up. First time I have taken the Orion for a proper spin - and it's really nice :) Reentry goes really well - good stable attitude and useful lift. Good chute deployment (does it really happen that low? makes me nervous!). Great "bobbing" effect after splashdown. Top notch! Great meshes too.

I did notice solar array position (forward/back) is not saved in scenario. Not a big deal.

I just had a go at the proposed EM-1 mission. DRO orbits are interesting - orbits with corners!.....

Many thanks!

Hi Brian, great you liked it, thanks for the kind words!
... chute deployment (does it really happen that low?

You are right, this should happen earlier. References say, drouge chute deployment shall be at 20000 ft (6000 m), while here its done at 2000 m automatically. (It can be initiated manually with 'C' when below 40000 m.)

Will put that on the to-do list for the next release, as well as the solar panel position. In the meantime, have fun flying!

After quite a while this is a small update, version 15 on the first page of this thread.
This is to allow the Orion + ICPS being flown on a FalconHeavy.
The scenario is "Orion-MPCV\Experimental\Orion & ICPS on FalconHeavy.scn"

It is really an experiment. Short description:
At 100 km altitude press [J] to release the ICPS-fairing.
After reaching the parking orbit, release the ICPS [J] and switch to it [F3].
Coast until the vessel is over Australia. Turn prograde and fire the ICPS.

After reaching the lunar transfer orbit, switch to the Orion [F3],
jettison the ICPS stage [J] and move away using linear or auxiliary thruster [A].

Hey that looks really super but it would launch from 39A and is there an AP for your SLS?

There is an autopilot for the SLS by pclaurent. Just scroll up, it is called "orionap.zip".
It is an MFD, has to be activated in the Orbiter launchpad.

On the other topics: Sorry, but I have no time for serious development. This small update is just to enable the launch alternative with FalconHeavy. But I am open to include a better launch scenario, if someone writes one.

I really don't like to complain and the work done with Orion is awesome but from what I can tell the AP is a mess. Now I'm not a computer guy but over the years with the help of others on this site I am better at this but this AP is a mess and no need to be this screwed up. Boy I don't know where to start. No Orion AP MFD that I can see to start with. Maybe you get get brianj to make an AP that is user friendly,

So where does the Orionap file go?

Sorry, I missed that the zip-file contains the cfg-file only.
The Orion-Autopilot MFD is on Orbithangar:

I tried it in Orbiter 2016 and it went as planned.
Maybe an installation issue? It needs modifying the ScriptMFD.cfg:

From the manual:
Installation
1. Unzip the installation file in the Orbiter root directory (e.g. C:\Orbiter2016).
2. Go to <root directory>\Config\MFD, open file ScriptMFD.cfg and add a line containing
“MFD\OrionAP.cfg”
3. Put a semi-colon at the beginning of unneeded script MFD lines if you like. For example:
MFD\OrionAP.cfg
;MFD\Attitude.cfg
;MFD\TestMFD1.cfg
;MFD\TestMFD2.cfg
4. In the Modules tab of Orbiter launcher, check the “ScriptMFD” checkbox.

Thanks for the help but I'll stick with the other SLS that works well with MS15.
I don't see anything that says root directory I did open a file that said orbiter added the line and did the semi colons but just didn't work for me hopefully it works for every body else. you and gattis really should work together on the VC, he has a very good one for his Orion 606

So playing around with a new VC
p0988S3.jpg

Functional status lights. 3 MFDs.
BUT it has issues. In D3D9
I94TiFW.jpg

in the log:
Code:
D3D9: ERROR: Invalid Window !! RenderWndProc() called after calling clbkDestroyRenderWindow() uMsg=0x82

But the bigger issue is where I click is not performing the function it should. So if I click on prograde a MFD will power on/off

That log entry can be ignored here, as it only complains when the Orbiter session is closed.

Thanks. Then I need to figure why the texture is messing up in d3d9?

Not sure if 3 or 4 MFDs. It seems in real life the MFD are rectangle rather than square. I may also redo the windows of the Capsule.
