I know we're really not supposed to ask, but is there a rough timeframe?
Of course there is. For the next beta: within the next few days or weeks. For the next release: anywhere between a year and a (very small) handful of decades.

Hm. Is it based at all on mine? If so, what are you planning on adding? (I see already better impulse texture.)

PS: don't go below 40 km if you want to go back![]()
I take it that the 40km mark was discovered the hard way?
Love how slow it's flying, though. 40 m/s in a Ravenstar!
Just a nice shot of SSU Atlantis on orbit, with the focus on the stowed Ku band DA and OBSS:

What do you mean? Do you mean if the nose is prograde or retrograde? In that case, it's prograde, UNIV PTG settings of BV 5, P 270, Y 0 OM 0.Can't tell if it's coming or going ?
Here is a shot from my latest experiment. It's so shiny even if it's heavily attenuated and blurred. The black raven is lost in the reflection. Am I doing something wrong ? Or is there a need to re-design the graphics models to work better. I am trying to compute the reflectivity from a specular power. When having a low spec-power the reflection is blurry and week and high power gives a sharper and stronger reflection. It should work.. In theory..

Well, I think the problem is that the reflection map is rendered on top of the main basic vessel texture when it should be the other way around, main texture mapped onto the reflective texture. This is just a guess though. Here is a shot from my latest experiment. It's so shiny even if it's heavily attenuated and blurred. The black raven is lost in the reflection. Ah, in that case, it's in the normal EOM-1 config with the OBSS/RMS/Ku band DA stowed for de-orbit, entry and landing. Also, the attitude is that of the FCS C/O and RCS Hotfire that is conducted on EOM-1 by the CDR, PLT and MS2.What I mean is, you don't know if the PBD just opened, or are getting ready to close. Meant to be funny, guess not.![]()
Here is an unattennuated shot. Specular power is 255, it's not that strong with any other vessel I have tested. I'll try to upload a development snapshot for testing, shortly.
