But before the Quest module was available, I saw Donamy implemented some EVA for STS 88, 92 etc missions to link the part of ISS we just installed.

It is still a bit of a mystery how to perform those EVA :)


@Donamy: I attached the Scenario and config files for STS 88 and 92 that work nicely with last SSU trunk :)
10 mn before Launch, RInc around 0.05° with target.

I think those are EMU's that Donamy created for himself. They seem to be able to move arms and grab objects (something like the ISSR EMU's)
I don't know if Don would be happy to share those EMUs with us.


AFAIK the only way for you to have "functional" EMUs for STS-88 and subsequent ISS missions (before the Quest airlock was installed) is to attach the ISSR STSBAY to SSU (is that doable?... you can try Universal cargo deck and see if it works with SSU) and perform EVAs using the ISSR EMUs: they have fully movable arms, hands, torso and legs and they can grab objects with their right hand

The EMUs I made can only be used with genericvessel 887, that allows multiple robotic arms. I don't know if that version, was released to the public or not. Spacecraft5 is supposed to allow for it, but I don't know if we will see that or not. It is also very clunky, and needs a proper dialog box, to control the movements better, :(

I was a bit confused because I saw some Savec Scenario in your add on for STS 88 and 92 with EVA1 state save.


I updated STS 88 and 92 with correct MECO value, 175 Nm at Apogee for OMS2 burn

I was a genericvessel version, that Face made, that allowed multiple robotic arms to be used for SC3 vessels. Work stopped on it when Vinka came back, and released SC4. IIRC SC5 was supposed to be released, that would allow for the multiple robotics arms. But nothing so far.

I was a genericvessel version, that Face made, that allowed multiple robotic arms to be used for SC3 vessels. Work stopped on it when Vinka came back, and released SC4. IIRC SC5 was supposed to be released, that would allow for the multiple robotics arms. But nothing so far.

Only spacecraft4 should be needed, for the original ISS A2Z Orbiter 2016, but for newer addons , that have more than one movable parent attachmnet point. I'm not sure if that version of genericvessel works.

:uhh:...er sorry, not really. Been working on DM-1, for the most part. I could say, it was because of the partial government shut-down, but then I would be lying. Do you have the placement info for those payloads ?

Found a tiny issue with the MPLMs, and that is that two of the interior handrails is poking through the forward end cone. This is quite noticeable when looking at the module during night. As the material used for the interior is set to be emissive, the bright handrail shows up well against the otherwise dark end end cone exterior. I have attached a screenshot that shows this.
