There's rumours all over the place that they're launching this weekend, all stems from a presentation by Musk that launch was "2 weeks away", and that was about 2 weeks ago.
Think it might be the weekend after this one though. If not late October.

Still, predicting SpaceX launch dates is almost as fun as predicting SpaceX failure modes, and just as unexpected.

I hope SpaceX will make it into orbit one day or maybe real soon? They already do some interesting stuff. Especially their Merlin engine tests got my attention finally. Also their production area seems to be well qualified.

I'm still sceptical about companies going into space manned. But of course, if SpaceX manages to do so it would be awesome. I wish those people who work on it the best of luck for their next launch.

It looks like this mission has gone bust: according to an unnamed source, a self-destruct explosive has been set off to demolish the secret instruments aboard the Cosmos-2441 roughly at 12 a.m. October 1, 2008.

So much for our funds: the MOD will want another spacecraft.

Cosmos-2445

Today, November 14, 2008, at 18:20 MST, a Soyuz-U rocket was launched from Plesetsk Cosmodrome. At 18:59 the payload was placed into the target orbit. The payload was a military purpose satellite which was given an official designation Cosmos-2445.

No announcement was made prior to the launch, and the overall amount of the information available is ultimately scarce.

The guesses on what's Cosmos-2445 really is, include Cobalt, Liana, Legenda and Neman satellites.

ULA just posted an upcoming launch set for Jan 13th. Rocket/Payload: Delta IV Heavy carrying the National Reconnaissance Office L-26 mission.

According to Spaceflight Now, NROL-26 is due to launch sometime between 7 PM to 12 AM EST.

ULA recently added the exact launch window. The launch window begins at 7:49 p.m. EST and ends at 11:49 p.m. EST. Very nice amount of time to get off

NROL-26 was scrubbed due to an issue with a ground based gaseous nitrogen relief valve (the gaseous nitrogen is used for purging prior to fuelling). Launch rescheduled for 15th Jan 7:41pm EST (16th Jan 00:41 UTC).
