As long as your system's BIOS supports booting from USB, yes it's possible, though I don't have much experience doing so with Windows. I've booted Linux distros from a USB key before. I'm sure it is just a matter of finding the procedure for installing Windows 7 on the USB drive as a bootable OS, though a quick Google has so far only led me to tutorials on how to install from a flash drive rather than on one.

Interesting. By booting you mean have installed and run from a USB key? Just to clear up any confusion!

SSU Payload bay camera errors

I thought this had been posted earlier but I couldn't find the thread. If I'm repeating this, my apologies.

When on the pad, payload bay cameras do not pan correctly. Instead of pivoting with respect to their mounts, they translate. Note the position of the starboard forward camera in response to the camera position commanded here (highlighted in red). The scenario employs Kukanotas' med-res KSC and David413's ISS Fleet v2.1.0:

The camera motion is correct on orbit.

This should be fixed next version. In the V1.25 code, the camera animations weren't coded correctly.

It would also be nice if we had a key, such as cntrl+C to switch to camera mode (like cntrl+A for the RCS and RMS modes) to control the cameras on the fly, no pun intended.

28.5° is less than the geocentric launch latitude. We should indeed add a parameter check to prevent CTDs, but the autopilot profile will still be useless if you don't use proper data. The minimum inclination that you can reach from KSC a tiny bit above 28.5°, AFAIR 28.52°.

Hi. I've installed SSU 1.25 sometime ago for testing...(and removed...was to busy) and found that weird countdown of 3 million sec in STS-120 mission. Anyone got that issue?

CRT MFD Crash when selecting OMS

I've done a search and I can't seem to find this one mentioned.

Basically every time I select OMS from with the CRT MFD I get a CTD. I've attached my Orbiter Log file.

Searching through the log for errors I've come across the following sections.

Try downloading the files here: they fix some minor bugs with the RMS and MPMs, but I don't think this has anything to do with your problems. What MFD position (CDR Left, CDR Right, etc.) are you opening CRT MFD in?

- SSU
- edited 2 txt files as requested in Readme
- CRT module on

And anynews about Ascent TRAJ?

The STS-126 difference is because the scenario is at T-6 Hours; this includes holds, so the actual launch time is more than 6 hours away.

If you can post a screenshot of the OMS error that would be great; also, which MFD are you opening CRT MFD in?

The Ascent TRAJ display is not implemented at the moment, and probably won't be implemented anytime soon.

I can't translate error message properly except of Memory can't be read...

CRT MFD Debugging

If you've been having problems with CRT MFD crashing, try using the attached modules and post the log. I've added some logging to determine where the problem is.

These modules were compiled from the latest version of the SSU code, so there may be a couple of other problems (particularly relating to meshes and animations). You should back up the old modules before installing these ones.
