can somebody create for me a MFD which is basicly radar?
it should show:
-planets
-other spacecraft
-asteroids
-moons
-distance
-reference planet
-target celestial body
-it should beep and say "incoming risk. distance: -----" when something comes towards you and passes 5 km distance from you
-and it should show some info about other things.....

thx in advance

That sound like a good add-on. But I would limit the range on the screen would be overcrowded.

I have already done one such MFD, but without some features you request - the last dev work for a new version was concentrated on replicating the F-15 radar screen as option.

Does this work with newest version of Orbiter? I think I had a issue with the buttons?

If you need a radar which shows you planets and moons and warns you when you're getting close, you're doing it wrong.

Not sure if this is fixed, I think it also only had an effect in VCs.

I remember some test made with two radars ( one from Urwumpe and an other one from Scrooge Mc Duke ? ) and both was working with the actual Orbiter version.

Edit:

Sorry : Scrooge McDuck

Urwumpe, I think your Sensor MFD requires the user to use hot keys when in "no cockpit" view. Aside from that, it's a really cool add-on.

The Shuttle-A2 has a built-in radar in the 2D panel view which also works very well. As a bonus, if you allow dynamic pressure to build up too much during atmospheric flight, the radar antenna gets torn off the vehicle and the radar stops working.

Fixed it, now with the full ugliness of the planetary surfaces.

IMHO a docking radar would be much more useful. Something similar to the one in Dragonfly.
It would be neat if you could switch the reference to the Vvect, so you could use it for things like plane alignment.

Something like this.

Yeah, but would require some math to do right. Currently with Sensor MFD, you could replicate the capability by orienting prograde and use the XY projection.

True, but you can't use the main engines for the plane change while oriented prograde.

DGIV's long range antenna does the same thing, but a prograde reference would be awesome.

The best option would be if Martin changed the HUD setup, so the Orbit HUD was still visible when the docking data was displayed. That way you could do a "visual" rendezvous.

If it helps you: I also don't like it in terms of readability. But I ran out of colors. Also I only use blue for surface bases, so it is not too dangerous.

It's not very important. I can use an external MFD. It's the blue color for surfaces bases...and since some months, i begin to have some problems with my eyes.
