The Agena is powered by a Lua script MFD so it's as open as you get :)
But yes, what happens on the Agena MFD stays on the agena MFD, other than fuel and autopilot status.

Of course, you can get crazy and define a secondary fuel source... and use the fuel quantity there as a lookup table for your communications ;)
You can access a vessel's fuel from any other vessel, so...

Well, I'll see... at the current pace, I can release something when my third child goes to university.

I thought I saw where you guys are thinking about the MOL flights. Super to see them just keep in mind to do the Blue Gemini. It might be good to have a look into adding the X20 along with this For 2016

A small update on what I have right now:

LC14 and LC19 fixed:
- Vessel configs updated with proper mass and COG to match 2016 terrain
- Mesh updated to remove ground shadows
- Small repaint to match period photos

Agena:
- Created a new "Agena" vessel
- Enhanced Agena mesh with display panel and better D3D9 texturing (including the Atlas)
- Updated Agena MFD that handles authentic command codes (simplified to match orbiter autopilots but still realistic)
- Animated and responsive display panel
- Running and approach lights (you can dock at night)
- Rigidize animation after dock

Gemini:
- Created a new "Gemini" vessel
- Added AMU as an attachment to the back of the spacecraft. You can EVA and attach the astronaut to it.

This makes Gemini functional in 2016, with minimal file overwriting, for a simple Agena docking mission.

There will be some file overwrites and at least a manual config edit, so it needs some testing before it can be released on OH.
I'll try to get a ZIP + instructions ready and share them here for testing.

Here's a link to an updated package of Project Gemini 2.0, patched with the updated multistage 2015, spacecraft4 and my Agena, fixed pads, etc.

(I haven't updated any of the existing scenarios, but it's easy to do by following my updated scenarios and configs. If someone wants to do it, be my guest)

This will overwrite many files, so I'm releasing it for testing by advanced users/developers.
You have been warned ;)

It uses multistage2015 + SC4 + lua scripts.
The multistage launch configs are a bit rough (i haven't updated the configs) but it launches Gemini with the AMU and the Agena. Attachment positions are off, but it should work.

To use the new Agena MFD, you need to open with notepad:
Config\MFD\ScriptMFD.cfg

Add to the end of the document:
MFD\Agena.cfg

That will make Agena MFD visible inside Orbiter.
It needs the "Agena" vessel to be present on the scenario.
So only use it with my scenarios.

There are buttons to set the Outer/Inner/Binary dials.
With the code set, you press the encoder button to transmit.
There's a button that shows the codes, but for reference:

'(Outer-Inner-Binary)'
"021 031 Telemetry On/Off"
"140 141 Approach Lights On/Off"
"160 161 Dipole Retract/Extend"
"200 201 Agena Status Display Off/On"
"220 221 Adapter Unrigidize/Rigidize"
"250 251 Acquisition Lights Off/On"
"350 351 Geocentric Rate Off/On"
"360 361 Geocentric Rate Reverse/Normal"
"410 411 Pitch Yaw Mode -/+ Rotation"
"430 431 Pitch Thrusters Off/On"
"440 441 Yaw Thrusters Off/On"
"500 501 PPS Cutoff/Ignite"
"550 551 SPS Shutdown/Initiate"

So the extend the antenna the code is 161.

I don't have a docking checklist, but you should turn on the lights, extend the antenna (if needed), dock and ridigize.

The Agena panel should give you visual feedback.

So give it a test and see if it loads and we will take it from there :hmm:

Hi all,

Just to say that I'm doing progress on the Gemini MFD.
I tried to control attachments using it but for some reason it didn't work.
Perhaps it's due to having LUA on top of a SC4 vessel.
But I've progressed in other "programs", such as reentry.

There's lots of work to do here, so if someone wants to help with some "fun" LUA programming, that would be great.

I'm also improving the ATDA mesh and adding the dashboard.

An updated version, now with the ATDA mesh and ATDA MFD.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B20bS7GGLxwlUXZodnlJWEc3ems/view?usp=drive_web

» The scenarios that use the new vessels are in "Project Gemini 2016".

» You will need to edit Config\MFD\ScriptMFD.cfg and add the new MFDs there.

» I'm playing Gemini's config, so this version may not reenter, fuel consumption may be off, etc.

Some meshes were altered, no disrespect for the original authors intended.

Ideally, it should develop into a separate add-on or into an official 2016 update.
But for now you get the complete package: take care with any overwritten modules, like multistage2015.
This is a work in progress aimed at fellow developers and advanced users, so don't blame me if Orbiter stops working :)

How do you open the ATDA mfd.

I have added it to the scriptMFD.cfg but it doesn't pull up in the mfd menu?
Code:
MFD\Attitude.cfg
MFD\TestMFD1.cfg
MFD\ATDA.cfg
MFD\agena.cfg
;MFD\TestMFD2.cfg

So Gemini is Spacecraft4. I get a ctd when doing a vc

That mesh is there?

Updated the link for some missing .cfgs, will check Gattis missing mesh.

Thanks for testing and helping with this, missing files are a pain to track down.

Can you upload races of versions matching Orbiter: 2016? Google Drive is no longer working.

Greetings!

Hi, can I ask for a reupload because it does not work in the orbit 2016 and the orbiter 2010, after pressing the "P" key, pours it into the desktop.

I apologize for my English, best regards!

Hello,

I am having the same problem mentioned by Interceptor in post #15, where the rocket disappears after initiating launch with the P key; it seems some meshes are missing according to the log? I think I've followed the install instructions (clean install with Earth_1962, along with spacecraft3, spacecraft4, and multistage2015).

Does anyone know how to track down what meshes are missing or how to fix this problem?

Thanks

Hello,

Hi as far as I know the missing mesh issue is related to spacecraft modules, who look for the Virtual Cockpit mesh even when it is not defined.

However, I noticed this in the log:

Code:
Module multistage2.dll ....... [Build ******, API 050206]

you are not using multistage2015 but the old multistage2.

I don't know if you are familiar with addon setup and everything but there are two ways to fix this:
1) edit the scenario file and change multistage2 to multistage2015
2) edit the multistage2.cfg file and change the module to multistage2015.

I suggest to do the first because it is the most clean option. Then if you use the multistage2015 you'll have the log full of information that can be used to track any further issue with it.

Hope to have been helpful,
cheers

Are there any updates on a 2016 version? The link seems to be dead.

IT WORKS!!thank you

:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Hope to have been helpful,
cheers

For some reason the Google Drive link doesn't work. It shows that the google drive can't be found.
