This is a reworked version of the Gemini Space Program for Orbiter 10. I have redone a lot of the interior textures of the capsule, and using spacecraft and Multistage DLL's, redone the scenarios, launches, and orbital work. FULL EVA's and docking are now possible for all Gemini missions.

Requires Spacecraft3.DLL , Spaceraft4.DLL and Multistage2015.DLL (NOT included). Also requires Earth_1962 from ESTAR for the scenarios. If unable to obtain, all scenarios will have to be edited to SOL system.

 

Many updates to this version, the most significant ones being astronaut ejecting ability as well as being able to ride in the Gemini during launch.

All launches and vehicle positions as well as rendezvous and docking are historically accurate. Data obtained from the NASA gemini archives.
 

I have tried to make sure every scenario works, and that all missions are able to be completed. I have borrowed many meshes and textures, and have also created and edited some of my own.

As a big fan of project Gemini it would be nice to see a Gemini 9 prime flight with the ATDA thats dockable and an MMU to fly. I know 4th rock has done the MMU for Skylab B so mounting it in the Gemini shouldn't be to much trouble. Looks great

Yes, it's possible to do it using UMMU, probably having the MMU as a UCGO turbopack...

I'm working on an updated Gemini mesh with a detailed VC and seated astronauts. UMMU can make them appear / disappear (better than the attachment solution).

The idea is to retrofit the existing Gemini (and possibly MOL)....

It should be easy to define a gemini UMMU crew function to use the gemini eva meshes, right?

4th rock you did such a super job with the astronauts in side the Orion and Altair you might be able to upgrade and use those for the mmu guy

replicant, do you have any plans to add UCGO + UMMU ?

I've got them working (roughly but working) and don't mind sending you my configs, scenarios + AMU mesh. With a little work (get positions and orientations right) it can be released.
Better for the users to have a single official release than add-ons for add-ons ;)

The AMU was part of Gemini 9 and would be nice to have.

Just to say that I'm working on a 2016 update, starting with the launchpads.
LC19 integrates almost perfectly. That's no surprise since it was modeled over real terrain data.
To-do: get rid of the messed up shadows.


LC14 is a bit off, but still looks quite decent.


Also working on a better Agena with display panel. It's controlled from a new Agena MFD and has running and docking lights, working gauges, etc, all activated using the original commands.


This will take some time to get ready for release, since there are still some systems to model.

Posting this here in case someone else is working on the same stuff (no need to duplicate work).

Not really, did not do any Agena stuff in my Gemini project yet. I still fiddle with finding a better way to create "black boxes" of (relay) electronics and infrastructure to test them. (Not just for Gemini though). Would be nice if the communication interface to the Agena is some sort of open, like by using clbkGeneric, then I could also talk with it eventually.

The Agena is powered by a Lua script MFD so it's as open as you get :)
But yes, what happens on the Agena MFD stays on the agena MFD, other than fuel and autopilot status.

Of course, you can get crazy and define a secondary fuel source... and use the fuel quantity there as a lookup table for your communications ;)
You can access a vessel's fuel from any other vessel, so...:rofl:
