General Question Planetary perturbations

Do major bodies in the Orbiter environment perturb the other bodies in a realtime manner and thus are dynamically interacting or do the bodies follow a strict script defined by scenario parameters/ephemeris data?

Ephemeris data I think, there's loads of numbers in the planets' .cfg files, so I guess that means hard-coded orbits.
