Orbiter Screenshot Thread

In a couple of deorbit tutorials I saw that DG descends on its side (90 degrees of roll), so I was very confused with it like some unnatural.
Doesn't matter so much which side of the spacecraft faces earth. The atmospheric resistance comes from the direction of its velocity vector, not "down", so ultimately it only matters at what angle your heatshield is aligned to that, not what orieantation it has to the earths surface.

Have a couple of bumps:)
@LadyCroussette
This looked really good, you said it was daunting, how far did you get? Really want to fly a heli there!
@LadyCroussette & @Thunder Chicken
Last I heard it was floating (using the skiff lua script?), any chance to post it so we can have a play? Maybe someone will pick it up and expand on it, and it would make a nice scenery extra.

At least in Orbiter it flies like a dream:)

Starship at Olympus, Orb24 (hi-res).
I had to add a .flt, otherwise Starship likes to take-off again and try to re-land= fail. And added textures from MrMartians excellent Moons addons (Well's Lunar base Aurora textures).
Have been meaning to start a Base upgrade/installation for Orb16/24 thread, meanwhile attached Olympus .flt and .cfg (requires MrMartians Moons addon), and bonus, Brighton Beach .flt and .cfg (fixes the missing object textures).
