Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Yeah. It's hard to see, but you can just make out the windows of the Deltaglider I'm using to light up the bow. Onboard running lights would be cool, but unless Spacecraft4 or someone who wants to bother doing a DLL for this is coming anytime soon, I don't see it happening.

I already have an add-on in my add-on pack called "orbSpotLights" - which uses thruster exhaust to try to simulate a different light source. It could be used for any vessel. I'll update that when I get the chance.

You need to have a vessel with a light defined (for instance, the modified stock deltaglider included in the new beta) shine the light onto the vessel.

Is this in the manual, or is there a specific process or code that can be posted here or is already posted elsewhere (speaking of that, I'll be searching the forums for similar occurances)?

Adding lights to a vessel is documented in the API reference included within the orbitersdk folder of the beta package.

I downloaded the 100815 package and I'm not seeing anything labeled "API". In fact, most of the items in the Orbitersdk folder are empty .

The API reference is in the "doc" folder of the "orbitersdk" folder.

Aha! I was donloading 100815, not 100812. I found the document. Thank you :tiphat:!

The beta versions are differences of Orbiter 100606. This means you should unpack Orbiter 100606 and unpack the beta into that orbiter folder. By themselves, difference packages are incomplete and will not work.

All full versions of Orbiter 2010 will have that file present. ;)
