You got there before me! Been to the moon, mars is next, fuel should be enough for a round trip.
BTW please install D3d9, it's worth it!

Some addons I still sorely miss in O16:

Direct imports to O16 & D3d9, Bugs are (of course) tochdown points, bases, and unfortunately a HUD baydoor animation problem. But they do look good IMO.

Fixing the vehicles is no big deal, but the bases need a lot of effort and a design decision: Adapt the bases to the real topography? Change the topography of the moon?

The first choice would be the best in preserving the real elevation data of Orbiter and save some disk space. The second would allow letting the bases look like in the movie.

The best solution for legacy addons would be to recover that D3D9 version with autobase flatten....
Have it as a user selectable option and we are all good.

When I get this beast (1km long!) finished I was planning an Interslellar missions pack- but that opens another can of worms- it would be great to visit alien worlds with 3D terrain! But how would one even do that? Creating a whole world per hand would be probably impossible. Could one maybe use an Orulox algorythm as a basis?

FYI all, I'm making good progress on my Deepstar update, which is proving to be a big undertaking. Sometimes though, I need to relax by making something else ...

This is a Boeing going. No ETA despite apparent proximity to the runway :)

If you look verry hard, you can see there is actually a SIVb in this image.

Let's hope my quick saves worked, because I'm going to bed and one P20/34 marking sequence was enough for tonight(morning).

Well, looks like I actually managed to perform the rendezvous (bit heavy on the RCS usage, but I can always give it another go later)

Not an easy process. I definitely want to try this one from the beginning again.

I do in fact have some sort of sinus-infection going on, which made for an authentic experience:lol:.

A closer look at the new Deepstar model in Orbiter 2016:

Note the inset RCS - this was a request from the development thread 8 years ago. I got completely stuck trying to implement it and gave up.

Last year I thought, 'hey, why not just rebuild the whole model?'
