Though my work will be soon moot with jarmonik's awesome work, I'm liking how good everything looks now. Now and in the future, you da bomb Jarmo :tiphat:

I don't think I've ever seen a simulated view from orbit look this good.

It mostly is,but there are one or two bugs, like XR5 sinking through Earth at KSC and landing altitude issues on Moon and Mars, but should be fixed with time.

Wow. Just... wow.
Yesterday I downloaded the Beta for the first time and... wow.

I can't wait for the final version. Reentrys and the final landings will be so awesome.
Seriously, this is good stuff :) The sunrise on the Mount Everest really struck me.

Glad you like it - in fact, the elevations in your images look surprisingly smooth. Did you download the high-resolution textures for that area? If not, you are in for an even more pleasant surprise.

This is what I get for Everest (albeit with the inline client):

Hi Martin,

oh boy, I sure like it! :)

I tried to download the High-Res files yesterday but unfortunately my connection was too slow.
I'll try again today
... but even with the Low-Res textures this is a whole new experience.

I will write again as soon as the High-Res textures are installed.

Again: Danke :)

EDIT: By the way, the new VC for the Delta Glider is really great! I never liked VCs but this one is really nice. Great job!

Sorry for annoying you guys but the Beta is a guarantor for really beautiful shots. I just have to share them.

A bit fast on this one... but hey: I flew a nice big round out the atlantic ocean... and I had a nice approach with all the night lights in sight. :)

Are you using the inline client or DirectX?

Both make use of DirectX. The inline client uses DX7 while jarmonik's external client uses DX9. In this case, the screenshots are from D3D9Client.

How did you get AMSO in the beta working? (assuming it is not 2010 with a base mesh)

It's the beta, and it's not AMSO, it's the LEM from Hlynkacg's Apollo Applications Addon and -- much to my surprise -- appears to work quite well with the beta.
