Gaming Minecraft screenshots

Cool. :D Any ETA on construction start?

Glowing Light Blocks for Minecraft 1.4.6 & 1.4.7

Well, I can post only my own "Glowing Light Blocks" mod (with sources)
So here it is, exclusively for logged in members.

If you aren't sure what it actually changes visually in Minecraft, here are "before/after" screenshots of glowstone and redstone lamps with default and Misa's texture packs:
GlowingLightBlocks-Default.jpg GlowingLightBlocks-Misa.jpg

It makes all faces of light blocks glow with the same (emissive) intensity, which IMO appears like these blocks are really glowing, and not only reflecting (diffuse) some light they emit.

You need either:The actual mods are inside the attached archives (i.e. you need to extract them to Minecraft and put at given location specified in README file).

To use the ModLoader version you will need to put modified classes for BlockGlowStone and BlockRedstoneLight inside minecraft.jar additionally to the actual mod from inside the downloaded archive in mods folder, and to use the Forge version you only need to put the jar file which is in archive in coremods directory.

You can't use both versions at the same time.

There is possibility to extend BlockGlowing class and make your own or other mod's blocks glowing the same way (depending on light level of the block).

After mine and Gerdih's exams are done methinks, and I'm building designs for the hotel and a city hall as well, so please get ready to take some insane amounts of materials. I presume that we will need at the very least 30 stacks of iron blocks

Holy moly... it took me hours just to get half a stack...

well at least we have two weeks before I start building, on the side note, I would also need you guys to strip down Gerdih's desert off because I would need so much sandstones, and perhaps about 10 stacks of nether bricks, all because of something sinister has taken shape east of the parliament

Nice! I can't wait to see it actually constructed. I had an idea about the design of the university last night, I'll post pictures hopefully soon. :)

and your wait might have to be longer, cause I learned that I have used way too much nether bricks

here it is, in its finished form (exterior) I dub this building as the Domus Rubra (red dome) which will serve as the seat of the government of SkyCity containing inwithin a room for treasury which will puncture down into the inner plate for rooms, the city's archival, and the office for the leader of the city (mayor, governor, president, or maester, or whatever we will decide down on the way)

Eccentrus: Will the interior ultimately be finished, as well?

Here's my household on the Hielor's server and the place where I live most of the time (gates are being closed and outdoor lamps are being turned on automatically at night):

I have also an apartment at Leeuwenhoek, where I sometimes stay if I need to be in the city for a longer time, too (the last picture shows the major part of the view from my balcony):

Orb, where's your main home located? Can I visit? :)

well yes, but they are low priority since other buildings awaits as well, and if you can help designing an interior for me when it is all finished, it will be great help since I'm not as skilled as you are in the department of interior designs.

Yes, of course. As it's marked on the dynamap, it's -1088, 1038.

In the Nether find the Brown Line and exit at Orb's Lighthouse stop. Then in the lighthouse you can either take a rail trip to "Under the Grinder Tavern" (which is next to my house), or by walk.

Only a couple of "staff" doors are locked at the "Under the Grinder", but all doors at my house should be unlocked if you want to take a look.

Minecraft reportedly has been down for some time. I haven't had problems til just now though.

A study of [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_Nouveau"]Art Nouveau[/ame], an upcoming series of architectural studies of design elements and art philosophies by me, the final results will be posted in minecraftforum.net but all the progress is better be posted here as well.

In here, I attempt to emulate the look and feel of this building

Casa_Arte_Nova_Aveiro_by_Henrique_Matos_02.jpg

which is a house in Arveiro, Portugal, designed by an architect named Henrique Matos. And the result is these

2013-01-16_20.54.20.png

this is where I attempted to emulate his designs on the two upper floors and the core that I used next to it. I also designed a roof that is while not completely similar to his, but I did my best in minecraft to recreate the roof.

2013-01-17_03.24.58.png

And here is the final result including the first floor, although incomplete on the picture provided, I deduced the rest with my imagination.

This design will be catalouged as Facade AN0001 "Henrique Matos"

---------- Post added at 04:10 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:35 AM ----------

Upon looking again at the reference picture, I have the feel that the slopping is incorrect, so here's a second attempt at the roof.

Actually time to brag :)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p09B5-lfsMA
Its the Destiny from Stargate Universein a bit smaller version..bit.
But actually its just the love for the series put into Minecraft. yeah.

Theres a DL link in the description.
The video doesnt really show its functions.

theres for example:

- Internal Lights switch for the complete ship
- Bridge
- Several crew quarters
- Cryo chambers
- the stargate, obviously
- Fire Extinguishers
- Weapons on both sides which can be fired from the weapons control center on the nose
- Garden
- Arts room
- 2 Librarys
edit:
- Life Support systems room
- Spaceship Core
- A little entrance on the side looking like a mini hangar with energy field
- I think i built in some prison cells as well.

worktime: about 80 Hours
thinks i'd like to add would be Captain's Quarter and Self destruction mechanism.
I'd really love start working on it again if someone shows interest and tells me what i could add. I'm totally out of ideas.

I used Worldedit for some parts, but building five fuel tanks and the front section manually would have been very tedious for me, and I have some other non-Minecraft projects on the mind as well.
