David, just take (again) a step back from the stuff, and watch it from some distance. You are feeling under illegitimate pressure again, and practically you are again right, nobody has the power or right to push you around. Except yourself, and that is the problem (possibly again, but well, I am not your headshrinker here).
Of course, there is another side of the medal. You know it. (the following part has to be said to most add-on developers in general):
The Shuttle Fleet is the product of your brain, your intellectual child. And like all children, even if you just produced it in ten minutes of fun, you are responsible for it for the rest of your life. You can't just go away. It is yours. It will follow you. What ever your add-ons do, or do not do, it will remain your responsibility. You can't even let somebody else do the support, without remaining in moral responsibility.
Of course this might now discourage a few add-on developers to release their stuff, but well, I just warned you of the reality. You can't just go and want all the Kudos and awe for your great add-on from the community. After you released it, it will have a life of its own. And like human children, some add-ons just don't want to sit silently at home and behave well. You can't predict at the day of birth, what the life of your add-on will be.
