I've been a big fan of Orbiter for more than 10 years now -- time I said hello, and thanks to the many skilled people who write this code. I remember the day Gagarin went up. Yup, that's how old I am.

Thanks for the likes, Orbinauts. Why do I sometimes see "Oops looks like something went wrong" when searching downloads? Is it some kind of screen to discourage naifs?

:hailprobe:
then you're probably our oldest member
wellcome

22 ½ years and counting here, found Orbiter in January 2002, registered on the original Orbiter forums on February 1 2002. But welcome!

And quite many here already joined before me on the old forum, like you, @Donamy or @garyw. I think I joined in 2003.

Welcome! And yep, I envy you, living those pioneering days when a single orbit made by one man made headlines around the world....and school kids being taken out of classes gathering around a single TV set available on a 10km radius.

No it isn't that. Some links found in older threads (or addons) point to locations which are not out there anymore. If there is need for a specific addon/file which cannot be found, just ask around. Some people still have them and usually are shared without problems.

I joined before 2007. I made the Columbia Shuttle for David413 in 2003. I think I joined in 2001.

@doscocos: Welcome to the old farts Orbinaut club. For me it was sixth grade and watching Al Shepard’s hop on a 10 or 11 inch B&W TV with rabbit ears from about 50 feet away ‘cause the little kids got to sit up front. Found Orbiter in 2005.

ok do we have a winner here ?
or we should wait a member who remembers Sputnik flight ?

guess looking for one who remember first V2 would be a bit too much

but imagine the questions we could ask...

Thanks very much for the clarity. I've shied away from asking questions because my techie skills are pretty rudimentary. But I'm slowly learning and a little tolerance from the experts really goes a long way.

Wonder if anyone has vessels for World of 2001? Looking for dbartles Leonov, Discovery and Pod. I'm grateful for any help you can give TIA

If they work in either version -- i'm happy. Any possibility you could share them with me?

Welcome to this amazing comunity!
Another "oldie" here. I´ve been in simulation since 2006, started to experiment with Orbiter, joined here in 2009.

Best regards,

Sooo -- two of my most wanted scenarios (Aliens and ISS) both require Vinka's Spacecraft 3. It seems to have vanished into Narnia or somewhere. Does anybody have a copy or do you know of a workaround? Any help is karma in yer bank . . .

This is a great and novel idea -- way cool.
