We at FOI - Forum Orbiter Italia have been working on this for some days now, but finally we can reveal our plan: on Wednesday 7th of December at 20:30 UTC (most likely, unless something happens) we'll hold an interview with Martin Schweiger during our weekly OLM - Orbiter Live Missions webcast!

We'll ask questions coming both from the italian and the international community, this one of course.

Please post here the questions that you would like us to ask the maker of Orbiter! :tiphat:

What new features, bug fixes etc, are planned in the next beta/release?

How do you see the future of Orbiter in the next 10 years ? ;)

What {...} bug fixes {...} are planned in the next beta/release?

You don't need to ask about bugs being fixed in the next (beta) release. Just mark there ORBITER:2010-P1 "Build" checkbox in "Applicable Version" (it selects all builds) and "In Progress" status of "Bug" issue type, submit, and you know what will be fixed in the next released build.

Maybe there are some bugs that have been found by Martin without the Forum, and have now been ironed out?

Will there be a more built-in, auto-pilot friendly, interface for those of us who are space flight challenged, but still want to enjoy orbiter?

How can we thank him ?

What drives his continued development of this software?

(Or what is his standpoint in the age-old European/African swallow debate? But perhaps this is a bit too profound for such a lighthearted interview.)

Mac version?

Now that the core has been separated from the graphics engine, is it feasible to port orbiter_ng to Mac OS X?

Bump!

Allright guys, keep posting more questions if any come to your mind! :)
Depending on how many questions we'll have gathered before the interview, some of them might be left out due to time constraints for the interview, but we'll have to look into this when we get nearer to it.

Will the interview be in English? or Italian?

Does Martin speak Italian?

Interview will be both English and Italian.. we have a real time translation (Fabri91)

Interview t-10 days!

What addons for Orbiter have you tried?

From a programming perspective, how much trial and error did you go through before Orbiter started functioning in a way you were satisfied with? Did you have to go and learn all of these spaceflight physics before you started, if so, how long did it take?
