Sorry I don't get this... this is not for radio astronomy it's for communications... I suppose you'd want a high data rate with Earth so a big dish makes sense... What's your point in pointing out that the Moon is tidally locked? Meaning that you could get away with a fixed dish? But then what if you need to communicate with a spacecraft somewhere else?
Sorry I don't get what your point is, can you explain?
Sorry it took so long to get back to the thread. That is frakking awsome !Yes the pads are placed at ground level. For the smaller pads the idea is that you can taxi into one of the hangars or vice versa. Also there are facilities that will support vehicles so the user will be able to take ummu people from a structure into a vehicle, drive the vehicle to a ship and put them in the ship. :tiphat:
Just took the LER for a little joyride around the base. Looks excellent!

I find it a bit silly, designating by law the name of something that not only hasn't been built, but they don't know how, when or if it will be built.
Is the large landing area really big enough for the arrow, it looks too small, but I think that's just me.
Love the doors and the hangars.
Yes it should be plenty of room for the Arrow. Dansteph has stated that the Arrow is 200m in length. Not having an Arrow yet to illustrate I've used the XR5. The XR5's wingspan according to it's documentation is 76.67m, so the following pic should give a good idea![]()
