Well, this is a good start for Brasil!

EDIT: well, on the bright side, the host country scored the first goal of the tournamemt!

Still 100% of the goals scored by Brasil!

Great first half, despite the rather embarrassing start for Brazil.

Quite interesting match, not bad for the first one and rather important one for the two teams. Does anyone get the feeling that the atmosphere isn't too much like Brazil is playing on the home ground, at the world cup ? Or maybe it's just our tv station.

Looks like Brazil just put this out of reach...

Inside the stadium is the same atmosphere of last year Confederations Cup: a match in a new/reshaped stadium with upper-middle class people in stands. If you were expecting an old-Maracanã atmosphere, forget, it won't happen.

I'm not exaggerating, see by yourself:

Brazil/Japan 3 : Croatia 1... :shifty:

Yeah the Brazillian defense line doesn't look like to be in cohesion - very disappointing as all of them are world class players. The Japanese referee really blunders the match.....

I don't think the Brazilians can go very far if they goes on playing like this in the knock-out stages (against Spain/Netherlands in the round of 16!)....

Another brilliant penalty decision... it just keeps getting better  I missed the Mex - Cam match though, were there any good moments apart from the goal ?

Thank you !
Wow great attacking performance by Netherlands. Interesting how impenetrable Spain defense looks, but when they get such unexpected balls from sky a single quality player can beat them

Edit :

And not only unexpected ones... :D

Edit 2 :

Forget about impenetrable defense... it's like Swiss cheese :D

Especially in comparison with the finals in South Africa.

This is getting humiliating.

Awesome game, and certainly like day and night comparing to South Africa finals. It sure is getting humiliating. But it's also true Spain can thank their coach for picking this squad. I wonder what he expected from it =)
