so, basically, you're saying 18 + SC + FC2004, right ?

and yeah, I know that planes in FC are "simplified" but I don't mind.
I think I have no time to deep study all the manuals just to be able to lift from the ground
clickable cockpit are nice but I can live without them. price will help too. and I'll still have 18.
sometimes, later, I plan go for F-16 and Ah-64D. then Corsair... And 14, when it drops on 50% :P

Maybe also think about a different map later, if you don't want to fly over the same small region every day. Caucasus or Marianas (1944 or today) might be a bit boring after a while.

maybe.
but I plan to fly mostly over the water anyway
:ROFLMAO:

ok, here's the update (and it's not a good one):
Already in your cart:1
1
It looks like you have packages which overlap in your cart. You need to remove the redundant packages from your cart before you can checkout.
2
Your account doesn't own some items that are required for purchasing the items in your cart. You can add the missing items or adjust the contents of your cart to continue.

that's cause I was buying Su-33 both with SC and FC
what now

maybe I'll just go with first version, buying them one by one. I really don't think there's anything special with buying complete FC2024 anyway
yeah, I know about many mods requiring FC2024 but maybe this will count too ? beside... what can I do, looks like I really can't buy them together
- maybe try to go with 18 and SC for now, then later with FC ??

ok, solved by buying SC and 18 first, then FC2024 later
and yeah, game is making me sure I won't get an extra copy of Su-33 😁

shame, I was really looking forward flying an Su-66 😒

off I go...

The Su-66 might already exist in some archive.... the latest known prototype of Sukhoi is the Su-75. Which looks a bit antique compared to contemporary US or Chinese aircraft.

anyways, first impressions - everything works, I can tell you that.
now of to downloading all missions for these airplanes, especially 18
I throw some good money, would be great shame just let them take my hard drive

Thats the most important thing. Did you test DCS:World before paying any money for it? You can even get a trial period for some modules to try them before you spent $70 for them.

I did see, at some point that 'try before buy' option but at some point I forgot about it.
That's interesting of course. I won't buy anything now, maybe at next pay check 😁

damn, it even looks better than in screenshots  it's like MSFS2024.
with guns

Lessons learned: 50m AGL can be too low to fly over trees. Luckily made it back to the base with a lost aileron by aborting the mission.

And still nailed the landing. The repeated landing practice on Friday pays out. Wanted to practice a precision dive bombing run, but still need to find the right place to lower the QFE from 1004 to 933.

For our skeptic out here.... That is the flight plan for the bombing training:

On the way to waypoint B4, hugging the terrain to stay below the EWRs radar horizon:

Seconds before I hit any other freak tree, while I tried to stay inside the valley:

Sadly without a chance to survive, that was an old soviet-era tree made of DU. The leg between B4 and B5 is much challenging than the map suggests.

For the next attempt, I'll move the waypoints a bit better, so I don't need to fight with so many overhead lines. Especially being forced to fly above the overhead lines on the top of a hill should be avoided. Usually I prefer to squeeze below them.

Ah yes that's a classic Cold War tactic, reinforcing the pine tree tops with steel rods to catch Western pilots :D

Ok, you can't predefine a pop-up point in mission editor. You need to do that on the ramp with the CK37.

sadly that's not possible in STEAM game version :(

Oh, thats unfortunate. I shop directly at Eagle Dynamics and didn't convert my product keys over to Steam when I realized how many limitations I would get.

I simply love my games neat and organized that's why I prefer STEAM. Orbiter excluded, for obvious reasons 🙂
similar to DCS, IL-2 Sturmovik: BOS also have 'standalone' and STEAM version and I use later

ok, just a few hours of discount...
after I recently bought FC2004, F18 and Supercarrier I was now thinking F16, AH64 and maybe Syria  any thoughts ?
next time maybe Persian Gulf, F14 (if it ever drops more than 25% as it is now:cautious:) and then some...

I would recommend Syria over Persian Gulf, even if it is a better map for carrier operations, the quality of the Syria Map is much better.

(Of course, if you prefer naval operations and don't mind that Dubai is the only interesting sight, the Persian Gulf Map is maybe the better choice)

Also, I wouldn't collect too many modules in a short time, since learning each better module can take a lot of time until they are really fun. Its really not MSFS.

Also, I would recommend looking at the Nevada Training and Test Range map. While its mostly a nice realistic training area and similar to the Persian Gulf, "only" has Las Vegas as interesting city, there are many good campaign packs around for learning the NATO jets.

ok, I bought F16, AH64 and Syria.
what set my mind for Syria and not Gulf this time is that everyone is much more into Syria, in some poll I saw like 55% people voted it as their fav map, all the rest get less than half - with comfortable second was Caucasus! and that I already have :sneaky:
yes, I love carrier operations but I figure that I can do on any map, right? doesn't have to be Gulf.

but Gulf is for sure in line for next time. along with F14, F4U...
and like you said, now I better spend some time learning systems
