This is where I live, a mixture of a gigantic village and a sprawling Metropolis
a 66 square kilometres area shared by almost 10 million people, it's also the centre of the largest urban area in Southeast Asia, which holds about 25 million people (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Bandung, Tangerang, Bekasi)
a Google Map view of Jakarta and the surrounding area
A map view of Indonesia, Jakarta, the capital city is located near the western edge of the large horizontal island of Java south of Borneo (I think people might need this since my city is not as famous as HK or Singapore)
The building of the Bank of Indonesia, the central bank of the nation.
Fun Fact: Jakarta holds 70% of the transaction done in the nation for each and every day, due to almost every corporate HQ in Indonesia being there.
And of course, I share the pain of Moach, living in densely populated area in a developing nation without reliable public transport
And unfortunately this kind of thing is actually a daily spectacle in Jakarta, no one is spared from this. I was once going to a medical exposition in Jakarta (I'm currently studying Med in Bandung) with a friend, and then after that dropping him to his house, which is about 10 km away, and it took 4 hours, it took me another 2 hours to go to my house which is 5 km away
and this is the Sudirman Street, where all the epicentre of the high-rise buildings in Jakarta, which holds among the most magnificent night view I've ever seen.
And then the old town Batavia
Well that's it for now, I have to go to campus, see ya :tiphat:
