Project Themis-A launch vehicle

LH2/LOX is kinda hot. Nozzle glow effect implemented in high energy upperstage (Sirius):

Well looks like my virtual aerospace company (Orbital Access Consortium, OAC) has just got yet another workhorse launcher! It and the Italian Neptune series will probably handle a large bunch of launch contracts we have....

You mean SRB derived launch vehicle with LH2/LOX upperstage??

;)

Poseidon:

Well you certainly aroused my interests in investing in your virtual company! ;) What's the performance for the Poseidon? Looks like it might be good for the booming smaller payloads market....

Roughly Ares I equivalent.

Ditto for ISA.... Hmmm, a little VSA launcher competition here?!

Looking amazing Loru.

And thrusting to orbit:

I'm not planning competition. Except for Themis-A there will be Poseidon (SRB derived LV) and HCLV (no name yet) for heavy lifting.

Zeus sounds like a good name for that.

Too many things are named Zeus. Sure he is king of the Greek gods and all that but how about his wife, Hera?

Isn't she the destroyer of romantic stories (turning Callisto into a bear, for example ), and thus should be the name for the perfect ASAT weapon?

(interestingly her Roman name, Juno, has already been taken by rockets and spacecrafts....)

As far as I know, there has never been anything space-related, let alone an Orbiter add-on, named Zeus.
(Like for Hera/Juno, it's not the same for his Roman counterpart, Jupiter)

Guestimate ISS orbit insertion with PLV. 1.08 degree off plane however I haven't calculated anything - added 90 degrees to ISS equatorial inclination and waited just before groundtrack crossing.

Glad I still remember how to do it :P

And "rear-cam" at SRB separation. You will be able to switch between front facing and back facing camera.

Huh. That HCLV looks like it uses 4 Energia strapon boosters... Is that a correct assesment?

Not exactly however they share same engine.

Estimated release date: Tuesday 19.03.2013

I have a day off that day :)

Luckily you... Mrs Urwumpe has two weeks off from next week on and decided to evade any contacts with her students by staying at my place.

No day off for me, and "You shalt not have other gods beside me."

Well, she'll have to tolerate a few tests.
