Wouldn't the nose petals be ripped off ?

Not when you are flying at an altitude of 8000m with a speed of 170m/s.
You don't even get warning call-outs.

I took jmw's [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3639"]Aircraft Refuel Project[/ame] and replaced the STA with an XR2.

I also had to change the 747's docking port to coordinates that corresponded with the fuel line.

I did not modify the XR2 at all. In fact, in that pic i'm flying with expert settings in the config file.

So how is the 747 flying at that altitude ?

You should try Donamy's CEV included in his [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4532"]Side-Mount SDHLV package[/ame] - it's AWESOME!

Deployed a satellite today...again. Two highlights here.
Getting better at the art of EVA, though there are still scary moments.
The second image was by chance. I happened to turn to the side when I sneezed while using the RCS. After hitting KILLROT, this was the scene presented to me. Nice surprise.
