I'm thinking that that vid is a CG recreation of a real event. The explosion and raining debris looks tremendously fake.

It was a real event and not enhanced with CG. There is even a view from a further distance on Youtube, showing the large explosion cloud.

Most of the debris you see are actually drops of hot burning rocket fuel - as the rocket is, in fact over 90% fuel. That it looks like Napalm when hitting the ground is no coincidence, just plain chemistry.

You can reproduce the effect by dropping burning fat on a solid surface. Or by spraying water on hot liquid candle wax.
