Here is a top skin UPDATE of the XR2, that gives you a Marvel super hero Captain America from the 1940's US.

Update notice... Added credits.

Installation...
Installation wont over-write your currently used livery skins so just extract into your orbiter directory. A scenario which uses the skin is included in the Ravenstar/skin demo scenarios folder in  Orbiters Launchpad.

If you wish to use them as standard then open the zip and take the skins from the Textures/XR2Ravenstar/Skins/CaptainAmerica folder and place them into the Orbiter/Textures/XR2Ravenstar folder, over-writing your current skins.

Avengers assemble...

Original credits go to Douglas E Beachy and Steve"Coolhand"Tyler.

Oh god... I can see it now...a whole new line of superhero xr2 skins. Greatest American hero anyone?:rofl::rofl:

As a comic book fan & Heroclix player, this just made my day...

Your skins for the XR2 are just jaw-dropping!
Thank you very much, for all your hard work.

Request No1: If you make any other "super-hero" skins, could you please make a ""Dare-devil" one? It would look SO cool on my
Coolest landing vid.! :)

Request No2: I had made a UCGO skin for the XR5 Vanguard. I also wanted to make one for the XR2 but i just couldn't get it right.
Your British Airways skin was just what i needed. After a couple of hours, i ended up with this:

As you can see, i "ripped-off" a very big part of your work.
Is it ok with you, if i upload it on O-H? (With proper credits, of course).

Warmest regards,
Dimitris

Very nice Dgatsoulis:) Actually, the captain america skin would go great with that landing :)

:tiphat:

Dgatsoulis, thankyou and you can use any material I've produced. Besides, as I started with the original skin which came with the XR2 package, it would be hypicritical to dictate otherwise my friend.

I enjoyed your video and saw the colour on the XR2 you flew (nice touch down by the way) and I'm inspired to comply with your request for the Dare-Devil skin, so please, give me a week and I'll upload the theme skin for you on Orbit Hanger.

I hadn't thought about companion skins for both the XR2 and XR5 and took time viewing the images you've posted. So will seriously consider skinning the XR5, now you've planted the idea.

My respects.

Thank you very much!

I'll upload the UCGO skins for the XR2 and the XR5 in a couple of hours. (Just want to tweak them a bit more).

They look a bit similar, but -as far as the work on them goes- they are about 4 months apart (first the XR5 and then the XR2). And let's not forget that i had YOUR British Airlines skin for the XR2 to begin with. (That's why it looks so cool!).

I've tried to make a more detailed skin for the XR5, but i haven't been able to grasp the "geometry" of it yet. It's a bit more difficult than the XR2.

Thank you also, for taking up my "Dare-Devil" skin request for the XR2, i'm sure that the result will be awesome.

Respectfully,
Dimitris

P.S. If you decide to have a go at the UCGO skins for the XR series, i'll be more than happy to delete my upload.:)

I won't be doing UCGO, it's not the UCGO, it's the fact I don't like orange. The only orange in my life is the pop m8 so theres no need to delete anything, not that I'd promote removing other skins in favour of another.

I look forward to viewing your UCGO skins and knowing me, inspecting the bmp format to a fine degree. I have a compulsive disorder where that is concerned I think so don't imagine I'm inspecting anything. Took me ages to learn not to push scissors into plug sockets y'no...

:probe: General question. I built an additional download section to my website and would like to know if it's allowed to use Orbit Hanger as an external download point from that site section.
