Hi to all,
although I'm not quite new to Orbiter, I paused for a few years "going to orbit" ;-)
The reason were repeating issues I faced with Orbiter 2016, mostly resulting in CTD. I'm not sure, whether my computer configuration has to with that.
However, now I realized the new Orbiter 2024 has been released, and expectantly I installed it.
With the basic standard installation, it seems to work fine, but after installing the XR-2 addon (XR2 Official for Orbiter 2024 2.0, from dbeachy1), I encountered a curious behavior:
When standing motionless on the ground (wheel stop), the XR-2 vessel gets tilted and seems to be sunken into the ground:

Included scenarios like "Ready for take-off to ISS", or "Landed at Brighton Beach", e. g., all start like this.
When landing the XR-2, everything seems o.k. as long as the vessel is moving. As soon as the XR-2 comes to a complete wheel stop, again it tips over, with the nose, the tail, or one side diving into the surface..
Any attempt to move the vessel from such an awkward position, even with a very tiny amount of throttle, results in catapulting it high up into the air and subsequent crash back to the ground.
Any idea what this behavior might be?
Is there any setting I might have missed?
In the D3D9Client Advanced setup the terrain flattening is enabled, and the surface elevation uses linear interpolation.
My knowledge of advanced settings is rather limited (I just followed tutorials and forum suggestions), so I'm quite at loss...
My computer system, if this might be of interest:
Intel Core i7-10700 CPU @ 2.90GHz, 64bit, 16 GB RAM
Windows 10 Home 22H2, Build 19045.5247
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060
Thanks in advance for any help.
