What music are you listening to?

listening to the new Knife Party album,TBH,it is different, and there only a few things i like in it

Give it up was pretty good... Some songs teased at the synth work I usually prefer but a couple more seconds in usually ruined it.

My brother-in-law just passed away few days ago. A bastard cancer...

He was a professional musician, who worked for every major Italian name in the music industry.
In the 70's he was in the USA with his band, called LIBRA, and they recorded 2 albums for Motown Records.
In 1975, still in the USA with Libra, they were opening the shows of groups like Frank Zappa, Chicago, The Spirits, The Tubes, Steppenwolf.

Here are some live performances from few years ago in Rome with his band "National Quartet".
He's the one playing organ.

With Libra

That's some great music ! Bluesy and progressive at the same time, I really like it. Did he had a real Hammond organ ?

The Italians were very great in progressive rock. PFM is one of my favourite prog rock band. I didn't know Libra however.

Requiescat in pace.

...Did he had a real Hammond organ ?...
Of course he had!
It was an A 100 with a Leslie 122.

His complete setup (and more) is listed on his personal webpage.
Here are many more pictures, depicting different setups over the years.

Here he is in his latest studio, located inside a bigger one in Rome, near St. Peter's.

Remembering Udo Jürgens...

My aunt will be devastated. She lived for a decade in Germany, and adored Udo Jürgens.

To start the year with a energetic music.

The best band in the world....

... for making you stay awake late at night, despite planning otherwise.

Never listened to much of them, but for about a week I've been opening up that video more or less each evening.

It is allowed to listen to its own music, right? (Well technically only 50% my own since somebody did it with me)
(Warning to the classical lovers: this is Trance music \o/ )

When I was living in Denmark, in the start of '90s, I knew and loved this powerful trio named Dizzy Mizz Lizzy:

It is a long way up my street, though I have to use a translation tool for the lyrics on some of them...

The Gravity soundtrack the end track is brilliant and Interstellar track 8 from Apollo 13 launch is perfect

Similarily, the ESA's Ambition Album/OST is pretty good. Maybe a bit weird at times, but definitely worth the listen.

Pretty hypnotic ...
