Hi, I’m new to orbiter and I have recently downloaded the 2024 version.
I was wondering what Mods people are using and after a search I noticed that most of them are listed as compatible with the 2010 or 2016 version.
I did try a couple of MFD’s and they seem to work fine, but not entirely sure what will work with the 2024 software I’m currently running.
Anyway, I thought I would introduce myself and any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Monkey House. Orbiter 2024 is still fairly new; I'm not sure anyone at this point is ENTIRELY sure regarding what works/is 100% compatible and what does not/is not. You will have to embrace the empirical approach - try things out and if you encounter problems post here (the forum devoted to General Questions & Help) with questions. If you run into CTD-type issues it generally helps if you post a copy of the 'Orbiter.log' file that lives inside the root directory.

There are many here who are knowledgeable (more than me) and ready to assist when it comes to troubleshooting.

Peace,

cs

David’s tutorials are totally awesome. You might also try TexFilms tutorials, too. I haven’t watched any yet, but I understand they’re also great.

Yes they are very comprehensive and well put together Arvil, i think id struggle without them to be honest. More so with the MFD's and how to interact with the interface. Its mostly self intuitive but some less so. Still not sure if the MFD addons have a pdf manual to read or not, i had a quick look in the root install but couldn't find anything.

I have had some difficulty docking with the ISS, but i noticed an addon called 'Pursuit' which i will have a look at tonight as i believe it might make my life a bit easier.

Overall Orbiter has a pretty steep learning curve but i'm enjoying it and think it's a great simulator. I really can't believe its not been on my radar, but glad i found it all the same.

I've not tried TexFilms, i'll check those out so thanks for the heads up..

Most MFD addons have a pdf file, some have. Readme.txt or similar. Be careful, some are named the same, need to put them in separate subfolders or rename them.
I find Pursuit and Hover MFD, I use all the time.
