I know the Shuttle's ET Tank disinigrates over the Indian ocean, but what about the Apollo, Mercury, Gemini stage I? I mean, has any pieces of the Saturn V first stage ever been recovered, sitting at the bottom of the Atlantic (which is possible, even though its 3 miles deep) You would think pieces of the Saturn V's SIB would have floated off the stage and floated onto shore sometime years later. I came up with this question when I was researching J002E3 'rock' orbiting the earth that they discovered was the SIVB of Apollo 12.
