An amazing cover of a bizarre song:

Yesterdays slightly failed landing:

Duck and cover.

Couple of ethnically charged, but fun to watch vids today.

1st is a beautiful clip of a Georgian band Eresioni, very cool Caucasus singing and dancing (and some sabre rattling :) )

2nd is a short allegoric clip devoted to 175th anniversary of Russian railways, with a motto "From Past to Future", made of series of "animated painting" images by an artist. I have seen it first in a high-speed train to St. Petersburg last summer, now also found on youtube.

From small to big aircraft (and as always, watch in 1080p and fullscreen):

Sorry for the bad language in this one. but it is too cool.

Why sorry? I like their language too

The guy in the left seems to enjoy his life. I have never seen a pilot smoking in flight for a long period of time. Those days are actually over for decades. In the 70's you still could see a pilot smoking a pipe in the cockpit of big commercial jet, when they still joked that if god wanted to see women fly huge aircraft, the sky would be pink instead of blue. I actually like such a kind of pilots. He is rather attentive and even cares of people on the ground. I know many who just would continue their flight (and the guy in the right probably also would have). But Germany is different anyway. In the US people are just more relaxed for such things

How can you survive this? (2:30)
No only survived, but both got out without much injury.
Even more, it's a soviet vintage car with NO safety features what-so-ever (airbags, crumple zones, ribs, etc).

Did the guy clip the camera car trying to squeeze between it and the RV, or did he simply oversteer? Either way, with driving like that, I feel sorrier for the truck driver than for him.

In any case, it looks like he managed to turn far enough back to the right, and like the truck driver was close enough to the shoulder at the moment of impact (either through trying to evade the collision or through already being there, I can't quite tell), that the truck only managed to clip his back end straight on, with the damage further towards the front being from the front end swinging into the truck after the impact. The secondary impact with the camera car was then on the passenger side, so the guy himself may not have been hit directly at all.

Because this happened in Russia?

Had the accident happened somewhere in China, either the other cars involved will drive away without stopping, or the ambulance will come up....

....

.... and ask for paying a sum of medical fees before they would carry people to hospital.

(No, neither are jokes; in fact I think both are daily occurrences in China!)

So what happens if you're driving alone, have an accident and you're unconscious? Do they bring you into the hospital without a fee or let you die on the street?

I wonder who survived i.e. the driver or co-driver. Because it seems that there were two persons in the car. But only one is visible after the crash.
