look at tom's face................priceless

Yep. But also Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Bill Paxton were clearly amazed :) Tom Hanks is seriously interested in space flight as far as I know. He and Lovell became something like friends during work on the Apollo 13 movie.

That's a great video, but for anyone who works in the tech world, it's just a good way of summarizing what we already know.

I know I'm not going to get rich doing my job, but as I'm getting paid enough to live reasonably well, and as long as my employer trusts me and gives me the freedom to do what needs to be done, I like it there.

The presenter says it "sounds like a socialist plot", but that's only if you're a reactionary or a simpleton. Socialism is when somebody else interferes by force in my relationship with my employer; this video is essentially demonstrating a better business model which only works best in a free market economy.

Thanks for posting!

just found this one:

Animation created for a contest using Carrara Studio software. Contest theme was Mars in the year 2020 in the springtime. At the time I created it there was much talk in the news about previous Mars probes that had failed.

YouTube- Orbiter - A decade of space travel

Eventhough it wasn't a visually stunning video... (Like Tex's for example...)
It did make the hair on my arms stand... (Not to mention my back, or my hands! lol)

You've implemented some of the GREATEST moments an Orbinaut could have in that vid!

Thanks Xyon!

Yeah, I couldn't get any of my usual post processing to look right on the older Orbiter footage, so I left it off and settled for the "raw footage" approach. :P
