Yesterday I exercised the privileges of my pilot certificate for the first time (passed the checkride last weekend) and took a coworker up for a quick flight around the area:

Cool, damn lucky to live in a place where that's allowed.

What happened at the first touch down?

Excellent! Many congratulations, Hielor. IR, Multi or ASEL COM next?

What happened at the first touch down?

It was a touch and go. Happy memories of the time that could be done without 100+ passengers giving the flight deck dark, sidelong glances and looking at their watches as they deplane.

What was that beep just before the last touchdown? Was that a stall warning? If so, good timing!

It was perfect timing. BTW, the rightful owner has the avatar now. I'll work on that soon...

Congrats! It's an awesome feeling, isn't it?

Yes, that was the stall horn. A nice greasy touchdown.

A little tribute to the Space Shuttle by me :)
I know the graphics aren't great but 1) it's one of my first video's made with Sony Vegas 2) most of the photo's are old.
Tips are always welcome... enjoy

thanks for the tips. I could have used the Ken Burns style, yes. But I didn't planned it anyway... I was learning for my exams and I was sick of it, so I thought, ''lets make a tribute video'' :p

This is an entry to a machinima contest we participated in. Originally, we wanted to incorporate some Orbiter footage, but then the 2-1/2 minute limit made the Orbiter footage we shot compete with some of the necessary (i.e required) footage off Second Life, and Celestia, so we had to cut them out. The scene with Phobos is a Celestia and not Orbiter footage. Take note the vid goes up to 720p (HD).

To be fair, the other entries for the contest can be found here:

http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=NSSinSL&aq=f

But, yes, the purpose of my post was, hoping that I could get some support from the Orbiter community for our video ("In Thrust We Trust"). Thanks! :)
