Two things:
1) Unless I'm mistaken, when I click "release" on the DGIV-2 with a cargo attached, the cargo FLYS out, even when the speed is at 0.02 m/s.
2) I landed a DGIV with a US Flag cargo on Dione, one of Saturns moons. As it turns out, Dione has such low gravity that even when landed, the G-meter at the bottom of Orbit MFD showed 0.45, in red. So, i opened the cargo doors, clicked release...and the cargo didn't appear next to my ship. Later, I found it on the surface of Saturn. Does this have to do with the fact that the G-meter was only 0.45, so I wasn't in a major SOI?
