So, I've begun attempting to develop some addons (Probe save us all), but I've run into two distinct problems recently, both of which are present in this picture:
http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/4280/cabinetproblem.jpg
Background:
Using Wings3D, I made a "habitat module", then duplicated it, and flipped the normals. So the shell is actually two objects, in the same position, but with the normals flipped. This way, My module is "double sided". It also has "windows", which work properly. I tried using this same technique for my cabinet: make mesh, duplicate, flip normals.
Problem One: The words "Medical Equipment" are "backwards". They are on the "inside", not the "outside", as I would like them. I tried not exporting the back face at all...then I get no texture drawn on the front face.
Problem Two: Notice how some of the cabinet is drawn, and some isn't. You are looking through a cleverly clipped window, part inside, part out. When the camera is outside of the module, the cabinet is not visible. I tried placing the "outer" normals of the shell last in the .msh file, that did not fix the problem.
Any help fixing this would be much appreciated,
