Things you do when you fly orbiter..?

What are some of your rituals you go through when you fly missions in Orbiter? For example, do you dress-up in a spacepilot uniform and put on your synchronar red-led digital watch? Great in a simpit! You paste towels on the windows to get 100% darkness? You steal your kids' toy planetarium to get a makeshift starscape? You make your girlfriend/wife and family address you as captain or commander? You have a set itenerary throughout the day? You eat your mashies from a toothpaste tube? You talk to other family members through a hoot'n'holler or perhaps something more modern like a walkie-talkie or base station CB radio despite them being in the next room? Is dinner served plastic baggies? you know stuff of that sort..!

Other than occasionally running through some imaginary radio traffic in my head, nothing really. Do you do any of that?

Apart from sometimes having the live ISS audio feeds from the nasa site, none of the above but mostly cause the food I like cant be freezedried or put in a tube.:rofl: :rofl: :rofl:

I usually have my 3 month old daughter in my lap while I'm orbiting, but I can't even get her to address me as "daddy" yet, let alone "captain."

hahah!! I remember when I was about 6 years old I'd make my baby sister 'operate' the cut-out slider controls and instruments on my posterboard sim-pit I built in the stairway.

I do a plan of the mission first,where, how, when, and what spacecraft i want to use.

first i look in the folders and in orbiter if i have the correct addons, change things in the scenary files if necessary and other stuff, like install , test and try how it works.

to sum up like a real space mission but in my computer.
