Ok, now I feel old. I remember trying to figure out the Kerbin LEO velocity with HarvesteR's first demo here, and also how much fun it was to eventually achieve orbit with a Jebediah laughing like a mad man.
Likewise - yesterday evening I was reading through the first 10 or so pages of this thread and saw exactly what you described.Ok, now I feel old. This is what happens if you press a spacebar in orbit mindlessly. In front you can see the engine from the service module, which is in the background. Fortunatelly the crew survived the fall form a certain altitude when no fuel left. It just remains to bring them home. However, now they have a new home...
It's interesting if it's possible to make a module -- a craft constructor to design and construct rockets inside Orbiter.

Which? Something like Vessel Builder?Other ways if designing a spacecraft inside Orbiter already exist.

this: https://www.orbiter-forum.com/threads/interplanetary-modular-spacecraft-rc9.26385/yes, there was also an add-on that allowed to build large modular spacecraft. (And people designing bigger and bigger spacecraft)
