The TG-Habitat Module is a fictive module that can be put in orbit or in outer space as a stand alone station or as a module of another space station. The idea of the module is to be a new spacelab with a new level of “playability” in orbiter: the Realtime Option.

It means that when you close orbiter the module keeps orbiting :)

It has full UMmu and UCGO support, and it simulates resources consumptions. It tries to make the user “live and enjoy” the space.

Together with the module a new UCGO cargo is released!

The UCGO-Cupola Cargo: which is an unpackable and packable cargo using the Cupola module for ISS (usage courtesy of Donamy).

Full manual for both addons is provided, together with a detailed walkthrough for the proposed initial mission of the module.

Required Addons:

UCGO 3.0 + UMMU 3.0

http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4429

For launch scenario the following addons are needed:

ASVI Capo Passero Base

http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5172

Jarvis HLV (Multistage Version)

http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4527

Jarvis 3.0 dll Version – Final Beta

http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=6439

For the usage of the new UCGO_Cupola addon:

Cupola Upgrade by Donamy

Have fun up there!!!

Hey fred18,I just wanted to say that this is a really awesome addon,if this is the future of orbiter addons it's looking bright,a couple of questions, and suggestions could you use the TG module to carry cargo to the ISS?and do the crew inside disappear, and reappear when adding new members,or when you EVA?,and also could you please make it so you would be able to turn on,and off the screen info so you could read the MFDs better, thanks for making this.

Thanks Guys!

@Tenmu-101:

Confirmed that sometimes happens with inline client, never happens with d3d9. I think it's something i put in the destructor of the class, will check and update as soon as i've found the issue. Anyway the scenarios are saved correctly, so it doesn't create utilization problems.

Thank you very much! :tiphat:

could you use the TG module to carry cargo to the ISS?

Yes, if you put it on a launcher that can load it properly from the ground. I think I'll quickly develop next week a dedicated version of Jarvis E that will load the module still on ground, so it can load cargos and take them to the ISS.

and do the crew inside disappear, and reappear when adding new members,or when you EVA?

Definitely yes, i spent quite a bit of time to make it working. anytime a crew is added or removed (transferred ora "EVAed") the number of people you can see inside gets updated and it always matches.

,and also could you please make it so you would be able to turn on,and off the screen info so you could read the MFDs better, thanks for making this.

I can make an option to turn everything off, but anyway in the meantime to see the mfds properly you can turn off temporarly the hud with ctrl+h

Thanks for your comments!

Hey fred18,I am not near my computer right now,but I could swear that yesterday I launched the Tg habitat on the Jarvis, and when I separated the module in orbit,I saw crew members inside the module, even thou I hadn't added any UMMUs yet,but I will investigate this tonight, and get back with you. Thanks

OK fred18,I just tried it out,and confirm no UMMUs present in the module after seperation from the Jarvis, but I was wondering if you could please make the solar panel tracking activation keys something other than shift+T,that is the hot keys for target in most mfds, other than that great work.

There is an unwritten 'good practise' of not using the shift modifier outside of MFD addons - it seems rather popular there and causes much interference.

I will correct that for the future updates. Anyway animations of sc3 spacecrafts are all driven with left shift key (with the sole exception of the k and g), so i thought it would not be a problem. I have to say that i always use the mouse with the mfds so I never realized that this could have been a problem. Anyway thanks for the feedback, will work on that.

Hi ! Realy a good add-on, i hope that the real-time thing will be available for other add-ons. There's life now in Orbiter, thanx for that ! Only a minor thing i've noticed, is when i use the "D" key to open/close the TG's lock, it opens/closes the hatch of the docked vessel (Antares, Pégase-CTV). No one died in space because of that, and it's the only "problem" i've found after many hours.

I've launched the TG with JarvisE (.dll), it was realy beautyful !

Thanx for this wonderful add-on !

Thank you very much :tiphat: from next week I'll start a bit of work on updating the module to fix some minor bugs

I'm actually not sure I've understood correctly: when you press D the hatch of docked ships opens up? if so I don't know how is it possible

Hi fred18,do you still plan on making a cargo version, that you can load on the ground to take cargo to the ISS?

yep, my intention is for next update to do as follow: fix all bugs noted up to now (if possible), fix a maintenance issue (not showing up during Realtime off period), make a special Jarvis E version which will allow to do exactly what you asked (basically it will load the module itself on the ramp, instead of a "vinka-style" simple mesh, therefore it will be possible to load cargos on it and to use it to resupply the station)

It also appears that an XR-2 Ravenstar docked to dock number one will spawn invisible crew near docking port two when you try to send crew from the XR-2 over to the TGHab. Other than that AWESOME! It's a great addition to the orbiter universe. Since my last name is Custer, I plan on making this into a hotel called Custer's Last EVA .

Is it possible to turn off or otherwise disable the destruction simulation for the TG-habitat module? I'd like to launch it with the HCLV-2, but the module always destroys itself partway into the launch, shortly after mach 1 is reached.

I'll add this option and post the update this week!
