The stage is set for the next mission to Space Station Freedom. Space X will be conducting the launch of their second Drangon flight to the SSF. The flight, designated SX-DC 002, will deliver supplies to the station that will be needed in the coming months. All of KSC's staff is working hard to get the remaining flights for 2010 launched on time. By doing so, NASA will be able to focus all of its attention to the launch of Skylab II in January. For the remainder of the year, all flights will be focusing on getting most of Freedom on orbit. Space X will be in charge fully of this flight after demonstrating their systems during the first flight. Launch will be at 1:51 am on the 21st from LC-40.
UPDATE 21 November:
Flight SX-DC 002 has launched and is on its way to deliver supplies to the SSF.
UPDATE 22 November:
The Dragon Capsule has arrived at the SSF. Docking accured at 15:45:25 UTC today. It will remain docked untill after the next shuttle flight, STS-FA7-D.
UPDATE 11 December:
The Space X Dragon has undocked for the SSF and will be landing early on the 12th.
