Updates STS-134 Updates

Here's an awesome time-lapse video of the undocking & STORRM re-rendezvous. It's sad to watch at the end, where Endeavour flies away from ISS into the distance, never to return.

Endeavour's last undocking .
Good bye, Endeavour. Your service to Humanity won't be forgotten, and have a soft, safe return home. :salute:

Hmm, only 3 this time? Great pics nonetheless, as always!

Nice night-time photo of the docked Shuttle. There's more flyaround photos in that gallery. The Soyuz flyaround ones won't be available before 6 June (according to NSF.com post)

June 6th ?............There is just something wrong with that whole story; something doesn't add up here for them to wait this long.

They have important things to be doing. Time critical experiments that have come back etc. Oh, and that bloke's health.

Nespoli was ill. There are time critical experiments to be removed. The capsule itself needs to be safed then moved from Kazakhstan to Moscow which isn't the same as rolling the shuttle into the OPF as there are legal formalities to go through and then everything needs to be removed.

They'll get to the photos when they get to them. Nothing fishy, nothing suspicious, no cover up. No rush. It's not like they are the most critical things aboard.

Mark Kelly - ''Lets take a moment to look ahead. The retirement of Endeavour and the Shuttle fleet will not end the human need to explore, it is, and always will be part of who we are. The United States will build other spaceships, better than those of today. Even if they are years in the future, they will never the less increase our knowledge of the world, generate an enormous benefit to our economy and inspire our children. We can't know when they will come about, or what they will be, but perhaps one of those new vehicles of exploration will be named Endeavour, and mabey it will take humans to other planets, or even more distant worlds circling other stars. It could bear a no prouder, or better fitting name.''

Almost brings a happy tear to your eye. :)

Up early tomorow. Hopefully I can catch the landing. Hopefully its on BBC News 24 again so I can watch it with breakfast.

Landing will occur at roughly 7:32 BST, yes?

You too? I'll wake up at 7 am for the landing. And yes, 7:35 in BST, if it's UTC+1.

I would have been up early anyway, I have an exam quite early in the morning.

And yeah, BST is UTC+1, we share a timezone with you guys in Portugal. GMT (UTC) in the winter months.

Yeah, I though so, but daylight saving times kinda confuse me sometimes. I hope they land on time, I won't wake up at 7 to have them land in the following orbit at 8:11. By that time I have to be on my way to school :(

You have calendar event here, which should display your local time for deorbit burn as the beginning of the event, and second opportunity's landing time as ending of the event. And there are timers there anyway, which can tell you how much time you can sleep to not miss that.

GL with exam :)

Looks like I'm gonna have to have an early morning too!

For her last time ever, the lights dimmed over her wings as she headed into the final orbital sunset.
She is coming back home, after so many adventures and achievements.
Have a safe landing, Endeavour!:salute:

Wooo...woke up at 4:30 (that's like unheard of for me) to see the ISS fly over...mission accomplished! Somehow I actually managed to see it when it was pretty much light outside, and no I was *not* hallucinating (I have a pixel on a picture to prove it).
