Very interesting space channel:

It's mostly TV recordings from the 1990s in decent VHS quality. Very good resource for visual references on Shuttle payloads.

Reworking the sts57/60 hab. I think the hab textures might be too dark. Not sure how to fix it with out make a new texture.

I watched that video. And saw this:
STS57.
So eva was done thru the Hatch on top of the tunnel. So I will need to make an interior piece and the hatch open. Not too hard
BUT I think the eva points may need to move.

I think the hab textures might be too dark.
Seems to be the same white as the shuttle:

True white is very complex on photos because of illumination, specially indoors. It's a highly complex subject.

For the sake of discussion:

A complex way of achieving total realism would be to use PBR textures. There are charts to help you select the right values:

So I'd have multiple texture "maps", one for each property - specular map, roughness, metallicity, etc. D3D9 supports many of these.

But it's quite complex. Just look at all the calculations that went into creating this chart:

having issues making a launch scn for sts 60.
What happens is when the booster jettison. the shuttle also jettisons

Isn't there only one 130(jettison) meant to be? At least I have only one line (and I do not have 490=jettison, I detach ET manually).

Thanks. I think I was using the HI-def setting which uses 2 sep boosters.
So now with the MET you can make scn better.

Here is sts 60. With 4 scenarios. Launch WSF, Bermsat and Oderacs.
On the STS60 gasbridge. key: 1 opens the bremsat door and CRTL 1 releases. ODERACS 2 opens and CTRL releases

on the WSF carrier J attaches and detaches

Might need to add a notes. or make minor changes to the scenarios.

Here is a test of the early shuttle vc. To test just change the scn to reflect the Shuttle2016BEARLYMET

The biggest change is the textures. Landing gear indicators work. MET and timer work. More animation of switches.,......



On the later shuttle using this as a base. And changing the front dash and rear mfd.

Like lots of missions there is not just 1 thing. STS 60 for example it has the WSF but also the Bremsat and ODERACS ,......

STS 72 in the corner you see the astronaut around a structure.

Looks good, very clean. Nice work!

To have status lights going on and off you can use animations.

Draw the status panel unlit. Add each lit status light as a separate 3D group behind the panel. (lit / unlit are just light/dark texture variations)

When a light is on move the lit version towards the camera, just enough so that it moves in front of the panel.
When it's off move it back. Use full animation states, 0 or 1 and instant animations.
