Space Shuttle Ultra development thread

I don't mind adding the D after.:)

Me too, I already think every day on making a list of the dynamic textures. I just don't do it. :sorry:

I'm currently working on updating the PanelA8 switch positions. After that I'll try to fix the camera views.

Just tried the shuttle ultra got it into orbit but how do i change the displays on the crts all i got are all ORbit MFD's.

hold down the page button for a few seconds and the select screen will come up.

Seems like someone has forgotten to check in an updated meshres.h file again:
.\PanelA8.cpp(141) : error C2065: 'GRP_A8b12_VC' : undeclared identifier

I'm making a Atlantis.msh, with no ODS. Should I have the ODS, have it's own centered position, or give it's position where it is in the bay, like the RMS?

Also, do you want the ODS with panels a seperate mesh ?

I checked in the updated meshres_vc_additions file. I also found the problem with the RMS mesh; the texture name was wrong (RMS instead of Atlantis\RMS).

Donamy: The ODS should probably be centered in the mesh; the Mir flights had it in a different position from where it is now.

The tunnel would have to be modified to use it for Mir flights, perhaps a second MirODS would be better.

For the Mir missions that utilised Atlantis(Discovery and Endeavour had the permanent ISS ODS) the ODS was connected to a SpaceLab tunnel adapter that was connected to the internal airlock.

So which should it be? Centered in space?

So which should it be? Centered in space?

If we also want to show the inside of the ODS, we should make it 3 meshes, which are centered at the Shuttle.

Outside of the ODS/external airlock
Inside of the ODS/external airlock
VC panels of the ODS/external airlock.

The if the Mir ODS and the ISS ODS is really similar or at least from the animations similar, so that we only need to add an offset, we should center both on the ODS center line.

The spacelab tunnel could be useful as extra meshes anyway.

Urwumpe,

The AtlantisVC.msh will not load into meshwiz, however If I eliminate the "D" reference, and import it into AC3D, export it to Orbiter, it loads into meshwiz. Can I send you the mesh and can you see if it can be used, this would make my life alot simpler.

I can make a test. BTW, how high is the demand for a mshtidy / meshc combination, which scans meshes for errors and creates more complete meshres.h files?

On the payload system for the Space Shuttle Ultra:
What about we try using Kulchs Payload Manager SDK? I am not sure yet if it will work well with the switches for releasing payloads, but it could maybe be worth a try...

http://www.kulch.spb.ru/Eng/PM_project.html

I don't know if I should demand it, but I really want it, but would this just be useful in the C++ area ?

If Kulch's idea works and he says we can use it why not?

I've fixed the PanelA8 switch positions and the payload bay camera positions and uploaded the changes to sourceforge.
A few things I've noticed about the meshes: some of the switches on PanelR13L are missing and the RMS is no longer textured correctly.

Sounds like someone is changing order of the groups.

Can someone send me a working build of SSU with the new scaling. I'm still using the old scale.

Tried to compile the rev. 113 sources and it failed. Complains about missing
PayloadBaySystem.h file.

Would love to if I just could ge the latest sources to compile.
