maybe this for the airlock but you wouldn't be able to read it so I may just leave it out

Just make a quad/rectangle with the texture at higher resolution, then it can be read if you get close to it.

The issue is when I resize the sign to fit in the wall texture.

Here is the new airlock with the red warning signs. I think the mesh is ready for the Main Mission part


Also I have noticed That I need to fix the original mesh of the base. It was made up of different meshes. I put all of them in one mesh. But the wall edges doesn't follow the top to the building. Not sure why.

Perhaps the mesh always has those problems and you only see them now because earlier you never got close enough...

The airlock is OK, looks Space:1999 indeed!
 
Thanks. I noticed the exterior buildings needed some material changes. Attached is the new mesh. I think I'm done and now working on the new code. I can add the main mission area in when it is ready.

I took a walk outside the base and the sense of scale is correct :thumbup:
Nice work!

I'll try to complete Main Mission (just the balcony area to do) and send it the mesh. Then we can see how it integrates with the rest.:)
 
I have also added some of the roof features. Also got some of the coding down. Still haven't got the Ummu HUD issue solved. I want to be able to turn it off so you can see the Moonbase HUD
 
This is what the new moonbase Alpha will have: Travel cars in each pad, Main Mission, and 2 cone stations. I would like 10 but 9 is the max displacement vessels. It will also have an atmosphere. Because it is a sphere of atmosphere. There will be area outside building where you can breathe without a suit.

A couple of issues: setting the camera for VC. I have the main mission mesh set a VC. But when I switch to VC the camera is wrong.

If your Ummu guys have suits off in the base. they are OK. but if you exit the scenario and restart they die.

Since the new moonbase is about done. Should the Nuclear waste site be redone with the depot building. maybe NDA1 also. It looks like it is just some mounds with domes on top. A tower or so.
 
Nuclear Disposal Area1

Here is my first attempt at NDA1. It is located at It is located in crater Planck at 58 south 138 east. it is 3.5 miles in diameter before abandoned for NDA2. From what I can see it is just mounds with a orange dome on top. Modified force field towers.
My mounds are about 4 meters tall and towers 15 meters.
from the images it looks like there are a lot of these mounds.

I redid NDA1. I may add a landing pad either a circle or a cross shaped on in the center. It will have an airlock.. It may have a hangar area for moonbuggies. Also a docking tower.

Add lights and increase emmissive values

I may also fill in the gaps. Maybe more domes?

Thanks that's what I was aiming for. Not sure what the red beacon thing in the window is. Not sure it is top of a tower or a seperate beacon. Any suggestions?
 
Monitoring Depot

Here are some images of the Depot at NDA2. The retangkle building has an interior. It has an airlock and hangar for buggy. Not very good to walk thru because of clipping.

Also I think the laser barriers are too tall. According to the alpha manual they are 16.5 ft. But look at them compared to the ummu guy.

I may make the upper deck and use as a VC.

The blueprint show a comm post. Which I added. But Not sure what should be be in the upper portion. It should have a color and letter.

Any thoughts about the Nuclear waste site. My Eagle skid is UCGO capable so you can add the pods. But it would be nice to be able to transfer the pods from the conveyor belt to the Eagle.
